House Mouse

An extra wee project from me.....

My good blogging friend Curt over at www.curtsplayhouse.blogspot.com has become part of the Design Team over at House Mouse.....

If you have not come across these most adorable little characters, you must be hibernating....

Anyway, the latest challenge over at www.housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com is this adorable little double pocket bag.....

When I was visiting Curt's blog I fell in love with his project and had to have a go myself. This is what I came up with.....

Papers used are Making Memories Fa La La and ribbons from stash.....

The stamp, is of course, a House Mouse stamp called "Christmas Tale".....

The House Mouse site directs you to full instructions for making the little bag and then the fun is to decorate it.....

Granddaughter # 1 loves it, she's carrying a load of buttons around in it as we speak!!!!

Thanks Curt for your inspiration xx

SOUS # 8

This weeks sketch over at www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com has been provided by the very talented Beggahuna....

Her sketches are beautiful - had not come across her work prior to this, think I will be using more of her sketches in the future....

So, this is my take on SOUS sketch # 8....

DGD # 3 and lots of flowers - again!!! Papers are Collage Press 'Margot' collection and Creative Imaginations....

Stamps - Inkadinkadoo (love that word) - Dot Flourishes, Prima - Journaling Stamps, Stamp-It - Butterfly. All stamping heat embossed with black embossing powder....
Flowers and buttons from stash (YAY!!!!) and title with American Crafts Thickers....

Reasonably happy with this layout - lots of flowers again - I just don't seem to have an eye for placing flowers in a particularly pleasing way - the sketch made it look so easy - maybe should have used smaller flowers - no mind.
Managed to use some buttons too, bought bags of them way back, and maybe use a couple at a time, but it is nice to have the colours you want to hand...

So, that's me again for the time being....
Be back soon, til then

Lime Tart - May Half Tart

This is the Half Tart Kit from Lime Tart from May this year (the pile of pizza boxes is reducing - slowly LOL)....

The papers are Wisteria from Basic Grey - as if you didn't recognise them!! Love the colours in this range - and had just the photo's of DGD # 1 to hand ready to scrap....

The title "Little Sparkle" and the butterflies were cut on Cricut from the Tinkerbell & Friends cartridge....

The flowers from my trusty Retro Flower EK Success punch - love the tiny wee buttons....

And a few wee pearls to the butterflies bodies - too easy...

Second layout is again adorable DGD # 1....

Nothing too complicated (or too taxing on the old brain cells!) Let the papers and the photo speak for themselves....

Everything on both layouts from the kit, no additions, love it....
Click on the blinkie on the left to go over to Lime Tart and have a look at the latest kits - yummy - mine are in a pizza box, on a shelf, waiting....

Thanks for dropping by - working on my layout for the latest sketch over at SOUS (
www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com) it's a cracker....

See you soon...

SOUS Sketch # 7

Here is sketch # 7 from over at www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com

I continued with the Hallowe'en theme of the sketch and came up with this....

Youngest Granddaughter bringing the pumpkin round to me for carving the day before Hallowe'en...

I have used more of the MME 'the spider's web' collection papers and tag....

The swirl down the left was cut using Jac paper - the tulip border at 3" from Storybook, attached to the layout and then covered with Doodlebug glitter in tangerine (the orange glitter I rushed out to buy four sketches ago!!!)

The stamps are from MM 'Spellbound' set - except the postage image top right which is Pink Paislee 'Twilight' set....

I have used KindyGlitz in black opal around the outside cardstock....

Another layout complete - loving these sketches from SOUS - definitely using up some of the stash and huge collection of stamps - lovin' it....

That's it for now, til next time....

Lime Tart - Full Tart

This is the Lime Tart - Full Tart, from May - finally made time to have a play....

The papers are My Mind's Eye 'Bloom & Grow' and the large white sheets (which are obviously difficult to photograph) are Heidi Swapp Invisibles including the alphabet....

I have used only products provided in the kit for these four layouts....

This first one is DGD #1 and DGD #2, taken when we were home in Scotland last November....

This large flower was in the kit, as is....

Using the Heidi Swapp Invisibles alphabet, I used the ink pad to go over the chosen letters, then gave it a wipe with a tissue, to clean the resist bits (dots) and voila! any colour you want to match your project....

Next, is a photo of my wee brother and our Great Aunt Liz, back in 1966.....

The Heidi Swapp Invisibles again, love the intricate designs on the 12x12 sheet, which I cut up and used two different ink colours to highlight them - aren't they gorgeous....

The title 'Memories' is cut on Cricut from Home Decor at 1 3/4" ....

The journaling is computer generated....

Layout #3 is DGD #1 again, with The Tilt, she went through a stage that every time Granny brought out the camera her head had to fall over to the side!!! "It's like this Granny" she would say.....

Heidi Swapp Invisibles alphabet again, this time inked in pink....

And, finally, DGD #1 again....

This time I used a tutorial from Nanne over at Stuck On U Sketches for the flower - cut from Graphically Speaking on the Cricut - there are four layers, the petals were scored on my Scor-Pal, some inking, and a beautiful bloom....

So, head on over to www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com for the tutorial for the flower....

You will need to scroll back to the post from 23rd September - thanks Nanne xx

Visit Nanne's blog at
www.nannes-creations.blogspot.com ....

She does some amazing stuff with the Cricut and is one of the four designers from SOUS....

So, there we have it - four layouts and some cards still to post, from one kit - the Half Tart and A La Tarte for May still to come....

Thanks for dropping by....

SOUS Sketch #6

Here I am with the latest sketch challenge over at www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com

What an opportunity to delve into the enormous stash of flowers I have, although I'm not sure it's too many flowers for any one layout - bit of an eyefull....

I have used a mixture of Prima flowers (the most gorgeous flowers on the planet....) and Kaiser flowers and bling (beautiful...)

The papers are Imaginisce 'Fairest of Them All' range, which, of course, were just waiting for this photograph (I think some of these companies have a second sight as to what photographs we are taking LOL!!)...

I chose the photograph first (DGD #1), and then went to see what I had in my stash to go with the sketch and the layout, and voila - Perfect....

The little carriage is an Imaginisce stamp from the same range and the 3 tags are Making Memories....

I enjoyed this sketch, but still not sure about all those flowers....
Thanks for dropping by...

Triple Challenge

Here we go with the new sketch over at www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com

This week SOUS has joined up with another two sites to make a Triple Challenge....

The sites are - www.practicalscrappers.com - their challenge is to use at least 3 ribbons...
and www.frosteddesigns.blogspot.com - their challenge is to use an owl....

So, we are able to combine all 3 in one project, or make 3 different projects - well, I'm lucky to have the time to do one, let alone three, so I have combined the three challenges into this one layout of my darling granddaughters....

I have used Kaiser 'Child's Play' collection and ribbons and the cutest owl (I think) from Cricut Happily Ever After cut at 3" - the swirl he is sitting on is from Home Decor at 2"....

So, pop on over to Practical Scrappers and Frosted Designs and enjoy....

Til next time
