BW2 September Mood Board

Totally gorgeous colour palette
 this month from

Certainly a Mood Board
 to go out with
 a bang on!

Yes, this is my last
 Design Team
 project for
BW2!

Eve is the wonderful owner/designer
of Black With 2, and it
has been a pleasure to design
 for her using the
Monthly Mood Boards,
 and certainly a challenge!

I can't believe that has
 been a year!

My first BW2 layout was
 in September 2013.

Time sure flies past.

So with that,
 here is my final layout
 for
 Black With 2.

Sadly, on translation to Blogger,
 the shocking pink I
 have used looks
 red!!

The background stencil is from
 Crafters Workshop
 "Mini Snakeskin".

Scraps of paper from
 Sassafrass Lass
 (really old!).

The Prima flowers were not
 quite the right colour,
so I painted them!
 Hee hee.
With bright pink
 acrylic paint.

Yellow leafy swirls cut from
 Heartfelt Creations
 "Belle Rose",
then run through
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
 "Herringbone".

Certainly one of the brightest
 layouts I've made!

So, it's goodbye to
 from me.

Have enjoyed the journey Eve.

Hugs

August Mood Board Reveal at Black With 2

Welcome friends.

It's the 1st of the month.

That means a new
 Mood Board Reveal
 at

Such a stunning palette this month,
 and beautiful against the
 required black background.

Ice Blue & Grey.

The word prompt is
 now optional.

Here is this month's
Mood Board.

You just have to play along
with this one!

Here is my interpretation.

A too cute photo of me
when I was 2!

Flowers from Prima.

Grey sparklets from Kaiser.

Ribbon from stash.

I have tried some stencil work
 with this one. Totally
 out of my
 comfort zone!

The stencil is from a company
called Dutch Doobadoo
 "Burlap".

Some blue acrylic paint,
covered the whole stencil,
and voila!

I like it.

The frame around the photo
 is from Spellbinders
 "Mystical Embrace"
die cut from black
 American Crafts
 cardstock.

The grey trellis pieces are
 Heartfelt Creations
 "Ornamental Add On"
die.

A reasonable attempt at
mixed media....Lol!

Nah! Just not my style.

But, I do like it.

Now there's a contradiction.....

It will run its course this craze.
 Everything does!

OK. Now head on over to the
and see what my fellow DT
 have done with this gorgeous
Mood Board.

Now, most of my team mates
 fully embrace this craze for
Mixed Media.
And, boy, do they rock
 the boat with it!

Well, half of the team anyway.

Eve has decided to post half
our layouts today and the
other half of the team
 will have their layouts
 posted on the
15th of the month.

So you will just have to wait
 for the full amazing reveal.

Remember we have fantastic
 sponsors every month.
This month we have three.
So lots of prizes up for grabs.
You just have to take part.
Good luck!

See you soon.

Thanks for dropping in.

Hugs

April Mood Board Reveal at Black With 2!

Happy April Fool's Day
 everyone!

Reveal Day
 at

What a luscious Mood Board
we have for you to play
 with this month.

A great sketch.
The word "inspiration"
The colours - Mulberry & Lime
All on a black background.

My interpretation.....

A stunning photo I took in
my front garden last
August.

A Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly
 on a stunning
 Buddleia Bush
 - true inspiration for my layout!

I hand cut all the little flowers
 after stamping them with a
 Heartfelt Creations stamp
 "Posy Patch Flowers"

The butterfly and verse are
 from an
 Inque Boutique stamp set
 "Flutter By, Butterfly" - perfect!

The frame around the photo is from
Spellbinders
"Branching Out".

Their centres are
 KindyGlitz
"Crystalina".

The wide lime organza ribbon
has been in my stash forever.

 Never thought I would actually
use it! But everything has
its time - if you wait
 long enough!

A Kaiser Sparklet
 "Princess"
to the centre of the bow.

The papers are from Fancy Pants "Crush" (2007)
and Daisy D's "Maybe Baby" ( 2008).

Everything has its time....lol!

Lace from stash.

Quite delighted with this layout.
 I usually only scrap family
 photo's. Everything just came
 together with this one.

Happy scrapper!

Now, head on over to the
and see what my fellow DT
girls have done with
this stunning
Mood Board.

Remember, there are prizes
 every month for the winners
 of our monthly challenge.

See you over there.

Hugs

Whimsical Designs Blog Hop

Welcome! Welcome!
Welcome!

To the Whimsical Designs
"Give Thanks"
 Blog Hop!

The Hop runs from
 Friday 8th Nov 7pm EST
until
Sunday 10th Nov midnight EST.

For those of us in the UK
that means midnight on Friday 8th
 until 5am Monday 11th.
Confusing or what....lol

(And to make it even more confusing,
my Blog still thinks it lives in
 Perth, Western Australia!!!
So the time and date on the post will be
different again. I have tried to change it,
but whichever country you set it up
in is the country it stays in...lol)

You should have arrived here from
 Nanne's Blog.

If not, return to
 Whimsical Designs,
 where a complete list of
participating Blogs
 is given.

You don't want to miss any
 of the gorgeous projects
 on show.

I have created a layout for the Hop.

A recent photo of my gorgeous
 eldest Granddaughter
 from our recent trip
 to London

My background paper is from
 Webster's Designs
 "Nature's Storybook".

Title and date
Sassafras Lass
"Khaki Type"
Alphas.

The leaves are
 "Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves"
by
 Just Rite Stamps
on Vanilla
American Crafts cardstock.

And then some colouring fun with
 Distress Markers!
spiced marmalade
rusty hinge
shabby shutters
antique linen
scattered straw
crushed olive
tea dye.

I then painted a thin coating of
 KindyGlitz "Crystalina"
 over them and
 the frame.

The frame is from
Scrapmatts
 "Ornate Frames 11".

In the wee plastic bag
 is one of the leaves
 from the photograph.

And I have written the story
of the leaf on the back
 of the layout.

 A treasured moment with my
 Granddaughter!
 and read - quite cute!)

Your next stop on the Hop
 is the gorgeous
 Sheila.....

And, a final photo....

How stunning is this!!

Enjoy the Hop

Hugs
