Hall of Mirrors - Palace of Versailles

Welcome again dear friends.

Here today with a layout created
using the latest sketch from
Stuck Sketches,
Graphic 45 papers (drool!!)
and some beautiful dies and punches
from Tonic.

Photo's taken in the Hall of Mirrors
at the Palace of Versailles
in 2013.

Gilded Lily from G45 - perfect!

Lots of fussy cutting from the papers.

The beautiful "Memories" die is from
Tonic Inspirations 'Sentiment'
dies.

American Crafts cardstock, from the
Autumn Collection.

Another die from Tonic 'Celtic Dream'
Layering dies, cut using
gold Mirri card.

The stunning border is a
punch from Tonic
'Elegant Drape Border'.

Treasured memories indeed,
and the Gilded Lily papers
are just too perfect!

I would like to enter this layout
into three challenges -

Firstly, the sketch at Stuck Sketches...

The current challenge at
for National Scrapbook Day
(7th May)

and

The very first challenge from
Anything Goes

Thanks for popping in folks

Hugs

Layout Reveal - at last!!!!

Hello again everyone.

So good to be back in Blogland
after a year out.

So much has been happening that I just
needed time to deal with the new house
and other exciting happenings.

But, I thought I would start out by
revealing the layout that I posted a
sneak peek for on 10th April
last year!

It was a sketch from my old
Design Team at Stuck On U Sketches,
which has sadly now closed.

I'm still deciding whether to join another
Design Team, but just don't seem
to have the time.
Will wait and see.

Anyway, this is a photo from my
trip to Philadelphia a couple of years ago,
at Independence Hall.

This was the sketch...

Lots of close ups

Now for an update on family matters....

Meet Granddaughter # 4

Olivia

Born September last year

Here I am with my four Granddaughters
Rebekah (9), Erin (7), Emma (6) and little Olivia.

Olivia is son's second daughter.
So, my daughter and son both have
two daughters each!

Our other addition to the family is Charlie

Full title 'Miss Charlie Banks'

The Granddaughters named her

She's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel,
born in October last year, and joined
our family in January this year.

Charlie is my first ever dog.

She's a bit bigger than this now.
Will have to get a more up to date photo of her.

Poor darling hubby.
Surrounded by all these girls!!!

Well, that's me for now.

Feels good to be blogging again,
though did take me a wee while
to remember what to do - lol.

Now I must tidy up my sidebars
- wee bit out of date now.

I will hopefully be getting around
to visiting you all soon.

Hugs for now

Ellis Island - SOUS DT

Welcome dear scrappy friends.

My turn over at the
 to reveal my take on
 Leah's newest sketch.

Ellis Island, New York Harbor.

Another favourite photo from
 my recent US trip.

Leah's fabulous sketch.

I decided to go with one large
photo instead of the three on
the sketch. Though I did try
cutting the photo into three sections,
but it just didn't work with
 this photo. I wanted to
 keep it intact.

Lots of random stamping on the
 background paper, which is from
 the "Base Coat" collection
 from Kaiser.

Hinges from Tim Holtz
"Hardware Findings" die.

Embellishments from Kaiser
 "75 cents" collection.

Flowers from Petaloo.

I hope you will have time to join
us with this newest sketch over at

And, don't forget to visit the
 SOUS Blog daily for tons
 of inspiration from my
 SOUS Sisters.

Thanks for dropping in.

Be back soon

Carpenters' Hall - SOUS DT

Hi everybody.

I'm a wee bit late posting this week!

Between removal companies,
painters and decorators,
packing boxes, clearing out
and cleaning, my world is a
 wee bit upside down
 at the moment.

But, as they say, better
 late than never.

Here is my take on the current sketch
 over at

The great sketch from our
co-leader Nanne.

A couple of favourite photos
 from Carpenters' Hall
 in Philadelphia.

Beautiful papers from
Kaiser
 "Periwinkle"
collection.

Flowers from
Prima and Green Tara.

Fronds die from
 Marianne Designs.

Bazzill cardstock
and lace and trim
 from my stash.

Another layout completed
for my USA trip album.

I hope you have time to join us
 over at
 with our newest sketch.

And don't forget to visit there
 daily for tons of inspiration
from my SOUS Sisters.

Be back soon.

If I don't disappear into a packing box!

Hugs for now

SOUS Sketch Reveal

Whoo Hoo

It's Friday.

That means
 Sketch Reveal Day
 over at

And, I'm in love with my layout
 this week...lol!

Sleepy Hollow Cemetery
in
New York.

What a memory!

The great sketch from
 our co-leader,
 Leah.

Hubby and I were in New York
in October, and we had a
wonderful day in the town of
 Sleepy Hollow,
about an hour north
 of the city.

This is the gravesite of
Washington Irving,
the author of
"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow",
 after whom the town was
named in 1996.

Prior to that it was called
 North Tarrytown.

Anyway....

The papers I have used are from
 Authentique
"Spirited"
Collection.

The die cut flourish corners
 are from
 Spellbinders Victorian Collection
 "Victoria Corners".

The stamped frame around
the Headless Horseman is from
 Kaiser
 "These Days".

The title chippies are
Jillibean Soup
 "Newsprint Alphabeans"

The gorgeous flowers are
Wild Orchid Craft
 "Carnations".

The little green leaves are
Tattered Lace
 "Foliage Leaves".

Sadly today is the last post for
some of the team.

Changes are coming to
Stuck On U Sketches - a whole new style.

We are losing the
 Project Life Challenge,
but the Sketch and Die Cut Challenges
will continue.

Further details over at SOUS.

In further news....

Look who's in Scotland!!

The uber talented Ken Oliver,
 Prima Educator.

At my LSS.
Which is not really a Scrapbook Store,
but the closest we have to one
on the west coast of
Scotland.
It's a craft store in Glasgow,
about 30 miles up the road from me.

Now, not many of our esteemed
 "famous" scrappy people come
 to Scotland, so this is
 a rare treat for us.

And I am booked into his
All Day Workshop
tomorrow.

This is the beautiful
Memory Album
I will be making.

And this will be the first class
 I have attended since
leaving Australia.

Too many card makers
 here in the UK!!!

Go Scrapbooking....

*****

Now, head on over to
and see what the rest of the
 SOUS Sisters have done with
 the sketch, and say goodbye
 to those leaving
 us....so sad :-(

Then let us see your take
 on the sketch.

See you over at SOUS!

Bye for now.

Hugs
