Wedding Day

Today is a very important day in Perth, Western Australia.....

My dear friends, Christina and Torren get married - and I'm not there.....

Subsequently, they were given their wedding present way back in February, before we left Australia.

I made them a special wee album to display some of their wedding photo's.....

This is the box....

I have used the gorgeous Enchanted line from Bo Bunny - so elegant and sparkly - perfect for wedding photo's.....

And the album, nestled in its box.....

This is a flip album, inspired by the uber talented Mandy L'Estrelle, friend and fellow DT member at Inspired Crafts, my LSS in Perth. I attended one of her wonderful classes, made one of these albums with Graphic 45 Christmas Past papers, and was hooked....

Thus I recreated the album for a wedding. Would also work well as a baby album - G45s Little Darlings me thinks - just gotta wait for my stash to arrive from Australia.....waiting, waiting...


Anyway, back to the wedding album....

The top flap at the front lifts up, revealing room for two photo's and a small journaling spot....

The left side flap opens to the left, room for two more photo's and a tiny, wee journaling spot....

Next, the whole page opens to the right, more photo mats...

And a large pocket for photo's, memento's, etc....

And a huge pull out tag for another photo....

The next page (LOVE) opens downwards  - three more photo mats....

Aren't these papers gorgeous, and the sentiments are perfect for a wedding album....

So, of course, I had to make a card, in a wee box, to match.....

A beautiful gift to make and my friends loved it.....

I hope their day is a magical one, so sad I'm not there....

DT Projects for Inspired Crafts

Hello again everyone - getting closer to Christmas....

Today I am showing my DT projects for the best scrapbook store here in Perth "Inspired Crafts"....

I have been very lazy in posting my projects for them over the last few months, and so there are quite a few here, in no particular order. A mix of 12 x 12 layouts and cards - enjoy....



















































I am really going to miss Christine and Russell, the owners of the store, they are genuinely lovely people and nothing is too much trouble for them....

It has been great to design for their store and an honour to be able to say they are my friends....

And, I am really going to miss shopping there.....

Now, to the other news concerning our return to Scotland.....

Still no offers on the house.....

Hubby and I have decided to go home for Christmas and New Year, and the house will sell when it sells.....

Sadly, as these pictures show, the weather at home is dire to say the least.....




Scotland has been battered by huge storms with winds up to 266kph....

Thousands of schools around Glasgow and the West Coast (home) were closed, while evry major bridge was closed. Flights from the main airports were disrupted and train services were cut....

The Met Office isssued a RED warning for Central Scotland, thought to be the first time such a warning has been issued.....

And we're heading straight home to it....

We must be mad....

On another note - this photo was taken earlier tonight....

A group of girls I used to work with at Royal Perth Hospital, all nurses, we still meet regularly for dinner and tonight was another great get together....



I am going to be leaving so many beautiful friends here in Perth - love you girls....
