Hall of Mirrors - Palace of Versailles

Welcome again dear friends.

Here today with a layout created
using the latest sketch from
Stuck Sketches,
Graphic 45 papers (drool!!)
and some beautiful dies and punches
from Tonic.

Photo's taken in the Hall of Mirrors
at the Palace of Versailles
in 2013.

Gilded Lily from G45 - perfect!

Lots of fussy cutting from the papers.

The beautiful "Memories" die is from
Tonic Inspirations 'Sentiment'
dies.

American Crafts cardstock, from the
Autumn Collection.

Another die from Tonic 'Celtic Dream'
Layering dies, cut using
gold Mirri card.

The stunning border is a
punch from Tonic
'Elegant Drape Border'.

Treasured memories indeed,
and the Gilded Lily papers
are just too perfect!

I would like to enter this layout
into three challenges -

Firstly, the sketch at Stuck Sketches...

The current challenge at
for National Scrapbook Day
(7th May)

and

The very first challenge from
Anything Goes

Thanks for popping in folks

Sketch Reveal at SOUS!

Welcome again.

My second post today!

It's another
Friday Sketch Reveal
 at

With a wonderful sketch from
 our Nanne to play with.

Nanne's Sketch...

It's all about the paper for
me this week.

Because, that's all I have used
 on this layout.

Paper!

The great collection from
 Teresa Collins
"World Traveller"

Photo's from our trip to
Paris last year.

Yep.
The Statue of Liberty
 in
Paris.

A much smaller version than the
 one in New York Harbour.
Made at the same time
 as the French gift to
 the USA.

And a point of interest, the two statues
face each other across
 the oceans!

Some really exciting news to tell.

I made this layout before
 hubby and I decided
 to

GO TO NEW YORK!!!!!!

My life time ambition is finally
 to come true!

So, at the end of August,
 we are off to
 New York,
Philadelphia
and
Washington DC.

I have had an unnatural fascination
 with the States since I
was 12 years old.
The result of a school project.
We were each given a country
to study, and I was given
 the USA!

I completed the school project
at the time, but was hooked!

I have studied the Revolution
 and the Civil War extensively,
for no other reason than
 self knowledge.

I cannot wait to stand in front of
 Abraham Lincoln in DC,
 though sadly won't have
 time to visit Gettysburg.

Independence Hall
in Philadelphia.

Not to mention Liberty
and Ground Zero.

I even have ancestors
 that went through
Ellis Island.

All so exciting

Any of my American Blogging
friends in those vicinities,
would love to meet for coffee.

So, in 4 weeks we are off.
It's only taken 40 years!

Now, back to today....

Head on over to the
and see what my fellow DT girls
 have done with the sketch.

Then join in the challenge.

Prizes to be won every month.

See you soon.

Hugs

Dusty Attic June Sketch

Welcome!

Today I thought I would have
 a go at a challenge.

Haven't done one for a while.

Found a gorgeous sketch
over at
 and decided to play along.

The Sketch.

I have used one of
DA's Vintage Frames
and a
DA Paris Post Mark

Close ups of the detail on the frame,
 achieved with
 Ranger Distress Crackle Paint
 "Picket Fence",
 and
 Pinflair Buff-It
 "Antique Silver"
 &
 "Antique Gold".

The papers, frame and Collectables
 are from the
 "Story Teller" Collection
 from
 Kaiser.

The gorgeous large flower
 is from
and the little flowers are
Magnolia.

The stunning lace is also from
 Tresors de Luxe,
though sadly it is mostly covered up!

The wee foliage die is from
Tattered Lace - a new favourite.

The black bling flourishes are from
 Zva Creative.

The photo is one of my favourite
from our trip to Paris last year,
and I am so happy with the layout.

And I got to use some
 DA chippies too!

Thanks for dropping in

Hugs

Addit - I won June Layout of the Month at Dusty Attic with this layout. Well pleased xx

Sketch Reveal at SOUS!

Welcome!

It's time again for a new sketch at

A great sketch this time from Nanne.

Lots of layers.

Love it

My interpretation....

Nanne's Sketch....

My papers are from
 Prima "Engraver" collection.

The little Paris stamp is from
 Something Tattered
 "Basket of Roses"
 stamp set.

The gorgeous clock die
 is from
 Tattered Lace
 "Counting the Moments".

Layers and layers of distressed paper,
 and some clock faces cut
from the paper.

Darling hubby inside the
 Paris Opera House
 during our trip
 last June.

Totally loving this page.

Found this image on the net
 (copyright free)
 from the 1800s of the
 inside of the entrance
 of the Opera House.

Hubby is standing at the
 bottom left of the staircase
beside the large statue of lights,
 just where the man in
 the painting is
 standing - spooky!

Remember, everyone that takes
part in one of the April
 challenges over at SOUS,
is in with a chance of
 winning the
 $30 prize from

Also, our DT Call is
 still running.

You have a few days left
to answer the call
- love to hear from you.

Make sure and visit the
