Practical Scrappers Sketch

My layout for this week's sketch over at Practical Scrappers.....

The sketch, by DT member Heidi.....

I have used Fancy Pants "Christmas Magic" papers.....

A Prima flower, which I stickled, and then tucked some silver metallic eyelash behind it....

Kaiser clear stamps, which I stamped on acetate and cut close, I felt that if I had stamped directly onto the project, they would have been lost against the busy papers.....

A 3D embellishment at top right which has been in a box of stuff for goodness knows how long.....

The title is chipboard prepurchased which I inked with Royal Blue Tsukineko VersaColor, and highlighted with silver metallic eyelash.....

A few punched snowflakes and some inking.....

Photo is from Christmas Day (duh!!) 2009 - darling daughter, dear son-in-law and two of the most gorgeous little granddaughters in the world.....
So head on over to www.practicalscrappers.blogspot.com and why not have a go at the sketch, or any of the other challenges they have running concurrently.....

Practical Scrappers Sketch

One of the challenges over at Practical Scrappers www.practicalscrappers.blogspot.com this week is a sketch - and boy, did this one take me outside my box.....

The sketch by Ann-Katrin.....
I fell in love with the sketch as soon as I saw it, just my style - elegant frame, swirls and flourishes. However, I found it really difficult to have so little on the page, and no patterned paper.....

I have used Bazzill cardstock, a Bella Felt Frame.....

The flourishes are Collage Press Clear Stamps - Flourishes.....

The title is from K & C0 - Que Sera Sera Words and lots of Kaiser Pearls.....

The photo is my darling daughter and dear son-in-law, in 2004, the year before they were married.....

So, there we have it, I'm still deciding if I really like it.....

Three Challenges and an Award

It's sketch number 16 over at SOUS www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com - can't believe I'm still managing to keep up with them - this one is a cracker......

The sketch is by Liz Qualman - designed exclusively for SOUS.....

My layout also qualifies for two more challenges.....

Frosted Designs www.frosteddesigns.blogspot.com to use Polka Dots & Plaid.....

And, if the shoe fits...SCRAP IT! www.iftheshoefitsscrapit.blogspot.com Mad for Plaid.....

I have used Sassafras Lass Serendpity papers 'Whale of a Time' Collection. Prima flowers and American Crafts brads.....

Cricut - large cardstock circle at 11" George, smaller paper circle at 10.5" George and swirls at 6" Stretch Your Imagination.....

Really had fun with this sketch, and when I saw the challenges at the other blogs I immediately thought of these Sassafras papers and my DGD Rebekah in her wee shorts at King's Park, Perth, last March. The blue circle and the blue slide tube she is sitting in was a complete fluke, not a deliberate design choice - I'm not that smart - love how it turned out.....
During my blog hopping, I came across a card that has been entered for 24, yes 24, challenges, is that a record - I have noticed one challenge block stating that an entry can only be placed in a maximum of 10 challenge blogs - should this be a way to go...... Your thoughts?

Now for an award.....

The beautiful Nanne over at www.nannes-creations.blogspot.com has honoured me with this award, and I am delighted to receive it.....
The Rules.....

* Put the logo on your blog or within your post

* Pass the award onto 6 bloggers who are followers of your blog

* Link the nominees within your post

* Let the nominees know they have received this award by commenting on their blog
* Share the love and link to the person from whom you received this award

Thus I pass it on to.....

Thank you again Nanne xx

I think that's me for now.....

Happy Valentine's Day

Here are my latest projects for Design Team over at Scrappy Go Lucky.....

All the cut designs are from the Love Struck cartridge.....

Papers used are Little Yellow Bicycle 'Sweet Love' collection, and a few of the embellies from that range.....

And Delish Designs 'High Tea' collection.....

Cardstock throughout is World Win Double Mates which cuts beautifully on the Cricut, especially with the intricate designs on this cart.....

Just need to get a lovey dovey photo of DH and I for this layout.....chances of that?.....

A wee bit of welding on this layout and lots of Glimmermist and bling and flowers.....

Just to decide what to write in the banner!!!.....

A wee stamped butterfly and some stick pins.....
All done.....

For all the details on these projects head on over to the blog at www.scrappy-go-lucky.com.au where you can also purchase the WorldWin Double Mates cardstock, not to mention the Cricut carts themselves....

Also have a wee lookee see at Tereesa's Valentine table setting (you'll need to scroll back a wee bit) it is stunning.....
Would lift the idea for myself, but DH is not home at the moment.....

He works away from home a lot, and sadly he is away today.....

I know he checks out my blog when he's away so.....

Happy Valentine's Day honey - love you xx
