Black With 2 March Mood Board Reveal

And so another month begins...

And we at
have a new reveal for you....

The March Mood Board...

The zingy colours this month are
 Lemon & Thyme.

The Inspiration Word is
 "Sunshine".

There is a fabulous sketch to follow.

All on a Black Background.

Here is my interpretation...

I have rotated the sketch for
 a landscape photo.

My papers are from
 Glitz
"Hoopla"
 collection.

The title is mounted onto
Tim Holtz
 "Tattered Banners"
 using Basic Grey
 "Origins"
 micro mono alpha.

The chipboard circles and stars
are from
 Collections Elements.

The large black circle
 was cut using
Spellbinders
"Grand Decorative Circles One".

The hot air balloon stamp
 is from
Kaiser
 "Up, Up and Away".

The chipboard palm trees
 are from
 Buzz & Bloom
"Arboretum Palm Trees".

Happy with final layout,
and so happy to finally get
 this photo of hubby
onto a page!

Photo was taken in 2002!

At King's Park, Perth, WA.

This month we have an extra incentive
for you to participate....

We have teamed up with the
 wonderful challenge site

Our March Challenge
 will subsequently run until
 15th April,
 that's an extra two weeks
 to participate - Happy Days!

The Scrapbooking Hut's
 Challenge
 begins on
 15th March
 and runs until
15th April.

But, the great twist is,
that it's the same challenge
 for both sites.

So, you only need to do
 1 layout
 to enter
 both challenges.

And, by entering at both sites,
 you double your chances
of winning a prize - too easy!

For more details make sure
 and head on over to
 and enter these two challenges
with just 1 layout.

Now, to other news from
 Black With 2.

We are having a DT Call.

All the details are over at the Blog.

We would love to see you apply.

We are a great team here at BW2.

Hugs

Party - SOUS Sketch Reveal

Whoo Hoo, it's Friday.

Time for another great sketch reveal from
 Stuck On U Sketches.

We have a lovely sketch from
our Nanne to play with, and,
boy, did I step out of my comfort zone
for this one....

Nanne's wonderful sketch...

The photo's are from my son's
 30th Birthday
- my baby is 30!!!!

Photo of darling daughter too.

I have used the "Vintage Blue"
 collection from Glitz
 and some "Vintage Blue"
 Paper Layers, which I have
distressed within an inch of their lives.
 It was fun though...hee hee.

A humble piece of string to
 hang my banner on, which
 I cut using
 Spellbinders "Marvelous Squares"
and the letters are Prima
 "Tiny Alphabet Stickers"

The flowers are Prima
and the trim is MME
 "Stella & Rose Decorative
 Trim - Hattie Boy"

I have used two chippies
 from Twiddleybitz
 "Chandelier" and "Oval Frame".
 On both I have used
"Antique Gold" Rub 'n' Buff
and white paint.

To frame the photo's I
 used Spellbinders
 "Decorative Labels One"
and "Labels One" and
 "Grand Scalloped Rectangles"
 for the striped background.

The wee vintage button at
the bottom is by Basic Grey.

I had fun with the distressing
on this layout, but I don't
think it is really my style,
 but, hey, think
outside the box - right!!

Now, head on over to
and see what my fellow DT girls
 have done with the sketch,
and then have a go yourself.

You have two weeks to upload
 your layout and be in
with a chance of Top Three.
We would love for you to take part.

And, don't forget,
our next sketch reveal,
 on 1st February,
will be our
100th Sketch,
and we have a fantastic Hop,
 with lots of Candy,
 to celebrate.

So, be sure to mark
 your diary for that.

In the meantime,
hope to see you
 over at SOUS!

Hugs

First Post From Scotland

I'm back in blog land, after quite an absence, wasn't expecting it to be this long.....

And, what better way to return than to take part in the latest sketch from my favourite challenge blog -
Stuck On U Sketches.....

The sketch, by Stuck On U Sketches own Sandi Clarkson....

I have used the beautiful Vintage Blue Collection from Glitz Designs....

Stamp is from Magenta.....

Live, laugh, love sheet and the wee birds are from the Glitz Vintage Blue Paper Layers....

The ribbon is by My Mind's Eye - Stella & Rose "Hattie Boy Trims"

Title block is Nestabilities - Labels Eighteen....

No photo or title yet, not quite organized enough. My stash of photo's are still on their way from Australia. Our shipped belongings are due to arrive mid May......

You've obviously gathered that we arrived in Scotland safely, following a few days in Dubai (LOVE Dubai), on the way HOME......

However, we had only been home three days (staying with daughter) when the wee Scottish buggies got me - and boy they got me good. I was laid up for days, really crook with flu like symptoms - every muscle ached, didn't know I had that many muscles....lol!!!

Survived that, was well for about three days and then a stomach bug got me. Laid up again - I won't go into details.....ugh!!!!

Survived that, and now I have the cold.....que sera sera......LOL

We have now moved into our new home here in Scotland, and just getting used to life back home after twelve years away - weird.....

The biggest thing I have noticed is that everyone I talk to on the phone has the same accent as me - cool. No more having to spell my surname - Stirling. Easy for the Scots.....LOL

Spending sooooooo much time with my children and granddaughters, they pop in practically every day. Not complaining - this is why we came home - Love it. And the wee ones love Granny's house - they have a room to die for. Will post photo's once we get it furnished - a wee girl's dream....

And we are on the beach - I wake up to the most stunning view every morning.

The weather for the first few weeks we were home was amazing. It was really mild. Everyone was running around in shorts!!!

Then, yesterday, 4th April, it was snowing!!!!!!

And here was me thinking I would have the seasons the right way round again.....LOL

Anyway, I'm back. Hoping to get round to all my friends' blogs over the next day or so - look out for me lurking around again.....

Have missed you all...

See you next time...

Hugs
