Brand New Kitchen

Using more of the August Full Tart Kit from Lime Tart,
this is my take on sketch # 102 over at Creative Scrappers....

The sketch by Monika Pawlowska....

I'm a wee bit behind, they've posted # 103 already, but,
that's me....

Papers are Cosmo Cricket 'Early Bird' and the c/s is Bazzill....

Specialty paper by Michael Miller 50s Kitchen Fabric....

Title - Jenni Bowlin Chalkboard Alpha
Buttons - Jenni Bowlin
Martha Stewart punch....

Which means this also qualifies for the challenge over
at Practical Scrappers this week - to use punches....
www.practicalscrappers.com

Photo is DD and DGD Rebekah in the kitchen of their
brand new home, when they moved into it in February
last year, just before baby Emma was born....

Onto sketch # 103 next - so many challenges and
so little time.....

Too Fast

Another layout of DGD # 1 Rebekah, for the sketch
challenge over at Practical Scrappers....

The sketch, by Ann-Katrin....

Again, using up my Lime Tart kits, this layout is using
the September '09 Half Tart....

Papers are My Mind's Eye 'Pretty Please'....

Chipboard embellishments are by R W Laser Cuts....

Bling by Basic Grey....
Title - Basic Grey and Carolee's Creations....

The beautiful tree stamp with the children on
a swing (love it) is by Grace Taylor called 'Tree Swing'....
And the lace was in the kit....

The photo was taken in October last year
definitely growing up TOO FAST!!!....

*****

Lookee what I got for Mother's Day....

DD had a ball at the local scrappy shop and filled a
beautiful box with scrappy deliciousness for me.....
A scrapbookers delight.....

These vintage images are awesome.....
The flowers and the ribbon, gorgeous.....

Swirly stamps by Inkadinkadoo and the embossed
frames by K & Co (hadn't seen them before)....

A few Christmas (!!) stamps and black die cuts
by RWLaser and Twiddleybitz....

And this gorgeous clock by Dusty Attic - I had been
unable to get a hold of one. Daughter had no
idea of this - great minds think alike....LOL - love it.....
Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day too.....
*****
Now to finish off I have to tell you this one
- it is soooooo funny.....
DH and I won these keyrings at Disneyland Hong Kong,
you know those wee tear open raffle things,
when you make a purchase....
Well, we thought, we'll give DGD # 1 her choice,
as the little one is too liitle....

So, Rebekah, aged 3 and three quarters,
studies them very carefully and then says:-
"It'll just have to be Mickey, cos that's
a VERY SCARY KOALA" with the emphasis on
very scary koala - I nearly ended myself.....
too funny....LOL
She hasn't seen the movie Lilo & Stitch yet....
Thanks again for dropping in dear blogging friends.....

SOUS # 21

I'm still here.....

This is my take on sketch # 21 over at SOUS www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com

And, I missed Mr MckLinky - again..... The sketch, by Aymee Gandy....

I have used Bella papers - Ever After collection, and the Journalling Die-Cutz from the same collection....

Flowers are Prima, Kaiser pearls, Heidi Grace stick pins, Making Memories mini shimmer alpha, Martha Stewart punch, and the Rub Ons are Kaiser.....

Which means I can enter this layout at the Practical Scrappers site - their challenge this week is to use rub-ons - so all is not lost....
www.practicalscrappers.com

The photo is my two children, when they were really little - they both have children of their own now!!!!!!!!.......

Time certainly is marching on.....

Sketch # 22 is up at SOUS, I will try to have a go, but, DH and I are off to Hong Kong on Sunday, for a wee break, and to celebrate his 50th birthday.....

While I have been otherwise occupied with every day life (no excuses) I have been the recipient of two awards from my beautiful blogging friend Fern over at www.texasstampinmamaw.blogspot.com

I am supposed to pass these on, and also give some trivial info about myself - but to be perfectly honest with you, I just don't have the time, and I have noticed that most of you already have them - so I will say Thank You again Fern, I really do appreciate you thinking of me.....

And, to finish this post - this was a quick wee Easter Card I made for the Scrappy Go Lucky site using the Easter 2010 mini cart - too cute.....

I will hopefully have time to post again before we head off for Hong Kong, but if I don't, have a wonderful Easter everybody, and don't eat too much chocolate.....
Bye for now

Practical Scrappers Sketch

My layout for this week's sketch over at Practical Scrappers.....

The sketch, by DT member Heidi.....

I have used Fancy Pants "Christmas Magic" papers.....

A Prima flower, which I stickled, and then tucked some silver metallic eyelash behind it....

Kaiser clear stamps, which I stamped on acetate and cut close, I felt that if I had stamped directly onto the project, they would have been lost against the busy papers.....

A 3D embellishment at top right which has been in a box of stuff for goodness knows how long.....

The title is chipboard prepurchased which I inked with Royal Blue Tsukineko VersaColor, and highlighted with silver metallic eyelash.....

A few punched snowflakes and some inking.....

Photo is from Christmas Day (duh!!) 2009 - darling daughter, dear son-in-law and two of the most gorgeous little granddaughters in the world.....
So head on over to www.practicalscrappers.blogspot.com and why not have a go at the sketch, or any of the other challenges they have running concurrently.....

Practical Scrappers Sketch

One of the challenges over at Practical Scrappers www.practicalscrappers.blogspot.com this week is a sketch - and boy, did this one take me outside my box.....

The sketch by Ann-Katrin.....
I fell in love with the sketch as soon as I saw it, just my style - elegant frame, swirls and flourishes. However, I found it really difficult to have so little on the page, and no patterned paper.....

I have used Bazzill cardstock, a Bella Felt Frame.....

The flourishes are Collage Press Clear Stamps - Flourishes.....

The title is from K & C0 - Que Sera Sera Words and lots of Kaiser Pearls.....

The photo is my darling daughter and dear son-in-law, in 2004, the year before they were married.....

So, there we have it, I'm still deciding if I really like it.....

Hugs
