Lime Tart #2

Next up is the Lime Tart - March A La Tarte kit - yes, including the stamp....

Managed two layouts from this kit.... Love those Piggy Tales Barn Doors. Must admit I hadn't come across them before....

As with the last kit, I have not added anything to the pages that was not in the kit, including the vellum used in the journaling in the second layout (they think of everything)....

And, as before I winged it alone, no copying....

Love the fresh colours of these Little Yellow Bicycle papers, suited the photo's of DGD #1 from Easter this year....

Click on the photo's for a closer view....

And, yes, there's plenty of stuff left to make a couple of cards (one day)....

Next post will be the layouts I created from the March Half Tart kit.

Lime Tart #1

I have been subscribing to the Lime Tart kits since March now. Every month a pizza box stuffed full of goodies is delivered to my door.....

There are 5 kits available - Full Tart, Half Tarte, A La Tarte, Queen Of Tarts, and Greedy Tart.

Greedy Tart is a combination of the first two (full and half). Queen Of Tarts is a combination of the first three (full, half and a la)... Does that make sense?

Of course, I have to have the Queen Of Tarts - all three - Full Tart, Half Tart and A La Tarte...

And, as you've probably guessed, they've been piling up. When July's arrived I realised that I had better start actually using them....

So I pulled out March's pizza box and dived right in...

This is the March Full Tart to start with.... The papers are Basic Grey Marakesh Collection

At the Zest Blog there is a gallery of ideas from the designers to help use the Tarts, but I decided to go it alone.... no more being lazy....

I managed three layouts from the Full Tart, and everything on the layouts is from the kit - I have NOT added anything....

And there's still plenty left... Me thinks I will have to take up card making seriously, to use up all the bits I have left....

What a great challenge, to work only with the materials supplied (excepting ink, tape, pens, etc) and to find photo's to go with the papers that I probably wouldn't buy in the first place...
I enjoyed the challenge. Next post will be my layouts with the March Half Tart....

www.limetart.com.au is where you can get all the info on their monthly kits and make more sense of my garbled descriptions of the kits, I think I got the Greedy and the Queen the right way round....
Until next time, thanks for dropping by and thank you for your lovely comments when you do, love to read what you think...

Another 'No Brainer'

Well, here's the second kit I ordered from Scrap With V. It was a wee bit cheaper, so only two layouts this time...

However, aren't they fabulous....

DH and I went to Paris for Christmas in 1999. The number on the Eiffel Tower is the countdown to the year 2000. You may have to click on image to enlarge. Gosh, that's 10 years ago.
Well, at least I have now scrapped a photo from that trip - theses Creative Imaginations papers were just PERFECT for it...
Next post - my Lime Tart Creations - no more cheating LOL
Thanks for dropping by my wee part of the world

Cheating

OK, I cheated, but aren't they gorgeous...

I orederd a kit from Scrap With V, and basically, just copied their ideas...

The colours in their advert just caught my eye, and I thought, why not...

Great for when you are having a no brainer, and just want to do something...

So, I got four layouts done, pretty quickly, and no brain strain....

Clean, simple, no ink, no mess, just got four beautiful pictures scrapped....

Just need to put titles on two of them, any ideas.....?

And, ok, I actually bought two kits....
Will post the next kit, next time.....
Til then

Oh Dear!!

Yes - Oh Dear. My photography skills leave a lot to be desired....

However, despite the terrible photos of this layout, my design has been accepted for the Making Memories customer ideas, again - that's two....yay!!

All papers from Making Memories Wedding Collection, aren't they gorgeous. I even cut the title from the papers and embellished it with Kindy Glitz - there's lots of glitter on the journalling tags in the collection...

Have loads more paper in this collection (why do we have to buy every single paper in the collection, everytime - Basic Grey and Kaiser have just released their new ranges, and yep, you guessed, I bought them all on Monday - now just to use them !!!@!!!)

Don't you just love this hobby...

I will say one thing in my favour - I ain't buying as many shoes and handbags as I used to !!!!

Thanks for dropping by

Mother Mini Album

This little album is in memory of my Mum. Mum passed away 24 years ago, in 1985, she was only two years older than what I am now.....

Pages cut from Accent Essentials at 5.38"

This is Mum's engagement photo, Dad is just out of the picture (need to scrap the full picture me thinks - one day....)

And, of course, this is little me - what a beautiful picture.......

Mum as a platinum blonde. She was naturally dark haired like me, but of course, in the mid 60s platinum blonde was the way.....

The 1970s

Mum, the year before she died..... Miss you Mum xx

This little verse says it all (click to enlarge)......

Dedicated to Martha, my Mum

Thanks for dropping in....
