Lime Tart - April #2

So, here I am with the Lime Tart 'Full Tart' kit from April...

The papers are Pink Paislee - Fascinating.

I managed four, yes, four layouts and three cards, and again have added nothing to the layouts except what was provided in the kit....

However, much as I am enjoying the challenge of these kits, and trying to use everything in them - I really struggled with the spinner thingy....

It's quite bulky for a layout, more destined for an off the page project.... so if anyone wants it, first one to claim it, can have it - free postage LOL xx

Love the colours of this paper and against the blue background I felt just made it stand out that wee bit - this is the photo on my blog, it was taken just before Christmas last year.... don't usually like photo's of myself, but this is one of the better ones - I think....

The second layout is my middle granddaughter (DGD #2), who lives in Scotland, so I haven't seen her since she was two months old...... She turned one on 18th September. Unfortunately, don't have many photo's of her either, son is a wee bit slack in getting them to me - all he has to do is put them on disk and send it, but, I won't hold my breath - boys.......

Oh, for a wee Granny cuddle......

Third layout is DH and DSIL last Christmas. I got DH a glider for Christmas, so it was a family outing to the local park for the test flight.....
There were quite a few families doing test flights that day - funny that.....

And the final layout is DGD #1, sitting astride a dinosaur of some description at King's Park here in Perth....

This was at our annual picnic with a group of friends. She managed to climb up all by herself - they get too independent too quickly....

Used the Cuttlebug embossing folder for the leaves and an EK Success punch for the little trees....

So, there we have it - very happy with the layouts I managed from this kit - will post the cards made from the left over bits later....

Next post will be the Half Tart kit from April....
Forgot to mention the papers used in the last post for the A La Tarte kit - they were My Mind's Eye Bella Bella range....

So, until next time, thank you for dropping by....

Lime Tart - April #1

This is the Lime Tart "A La Tarte" kit from April - I managed two layouts, and three cards from the leftover bits (will post the cards later)

This first layout is my great uncles (maternal grandmother's brothers), Uncle Robert and Uncle Jim. This photo is Uncle Roberts marriage to Aunt Nan in 1938....

The background cardstock was far too bright a green for the layout, so I stamped it with the "Stamp-It" stamp from the kit....

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the accent behind the date, using brown ink on the raised pattern....

Fiskar's border punch for the fancy edging here (love that border punch)....

Lots of inking and happy with the finished layout....

This next layout is Mum and me (don't look at the date - too late!!!). This is actually Germany - West Germany to be precise, as it was then. Dad was in the RAF and was stationed in West Germany when I came along - so, although I am Scottish, we didn't go back to Scotland until I was about two and a half....

Lots of distressing and inking, used most of the flowers from the kit here and the included bottle of Stickles for the flower centres....

Love the little bird on the paper, so cut a second one and layered him....

Also happy with the finished layout.....

Next post the Full Tart layouts....
Until next time, thanks for dropping in, and your valued comments....

Purple Fairy Lady

Lookee what I got.......

Isn't this absolutely gorgeous.......

It's an acrylic 3D butterfly bisthday card - a very special birthday card/gift, and I know just the little lady it is for.......
The photographs do not do it justice (very difficult to photograph something that is seethrough!!!!)
However, I cannot take credit for this beautiful piece of work.....
No, I bought it from Leonie at www.purplefairylady1.blogspot.com

Her work is absolutely stunning, I just couldn't resist owning one of her beautiful projects....

Leonie lives in Busselton here in Western Australia, and I will hopefully manage down there one day to visit her farm where she has a workshop and a purple fairy caravan - would love to see that......

She is a beautiful lady and was in constant e-mail when I made this purchase, I will definitely buy from her again.....

Pop on over and see the beautiful off the page projects and albums she makes - you will not be disappointed....

Leonie also designs stamp images for Stamp-It here in WA - very talented lady....

Now for some sneak peeks of my April (yes, April, getting there, slowly) Lime Tart Kit projects.

(Just had to sneak Leonie's work in first.....)

These two layouts are with the A La Tarte kit from April - papers are My Mind's Eye.....

Full reveal in a couple of days......

50th Birthday

Here are the gift and card I made for my friends special birthday......

I used the DCWV La Creme paper stack.

The 50 album is Kaiser.

Made up this verse for the pocket in the back.

This is the box I decorated to hold the album....

The card to match....

The card wouldn't fit in an envelope after I put the three roses on the front, so I had to make a special box to fit..... and I'll be damned if I can remember who gave me the inspiration for the box - if it was you - thank you xx

The two boxes.......

The complete set........

All packed up and ready to go........

Friend has received it and is delighted with her gift.....

Next post - April Lime Tart.....
