SOUS Sketch Reveal

Helloooo....

It's Friday...

Sketch Reveal Day
 at

And a great sketch from
 our own Leah to
 play with...

So happy with this one....

Leah's great sketch....

I had a lot of fun adding
 all the little embellishments
 to this page.

The papers are
"Miss Match"
 from
 Kaiser.

With the Collectables from
 "These Days"
from
Kaiser.

The butterfly stamp is also
from
Kaiser
 "Bonjour".

I have randomly stamped
 the background paper
with the
"Botanical" stamp
 from
 Kaiser.

The gorgeous fairy is
 from a new die from
 Tonic
called
"Fae Hideaway"

The wee frame is a
 Katy Sue
 mould with some
 Air Dry Clay,
 which I have finished with
Pinflair Buff-It in
 Antique Silver.

The "Victorian Picket Fence"
 is from
 Cheery Lynn.

The leaf sprays are a gorgeous
 die from
 Tattered Lace
 "Foliage Leaves"
and the roses are from my stash.

And a photo of my three
 beautiful
 Granddaughters!

Remember, this month you
 will be playing for a
 $15 voucher
 from the

Can't wait to see your
 take on the sketch.

So, head on over to the
 for some more stunning
 inspiration from my
fellow DT girls.

We are also, sadly,
saying farewell to a
 few of the girls from
 the Sketch Team.

However, not long until we
 introduce the new members
to the Team following
our recent DT Call.

So, hop on over to
 SOUS
 for all the details.

See you there.....

Hugs for now

Black With 2 October Palette

Hello dear friends.

I'm here today with the
 October Challenge
 from

And, how gorgeous is this months palette -

Black
with
 Sunset Pink
&
 Shimmering Gold....

Starting with my card this month.

I am so in love with this
 elegant image, but sadly
the beautiful gold hilights
 just don't show up
in a photograph...

The Palette...

The papers and image I have
used for the card are
 from Kanban.

A beautiful black silk flower
from my stash with a centre jewel
rescued from a different flower,
it just goes so perfectly with
 the image and
 the colour palette.

The butterfly is a
 Cheery Lynn die
 "Exotic Butterfly Mini"
 cut from gold
 Mirri Board.

And, of course,
 black cardstock.
 From American Crafts.

*** *** *** ***

My layout this month
was just screaming
 girlie, with
 these colours.

And these photo's of
 eldest Granddaughter were
 a perfect choice.

The striped paper and
 glitter paper are from the
 "Posh" Collection
by
 Teresa Collins.

The dotty paper is
 Papermania "Confetti".

The border punch is by
 Martha Stewart
 "Daisy Fan"
Deep Edge Punch.

The flowers are a mix of
 Prima and Petaloo.

The gorgeous rhinestone flourish
 is from
 Creative Expressions.

The large leaf embellishment
 is the
 "Ivy"
 die from
Creative Expressions,
and the small leaves,
tucked behind the flowers,
 is a die from
Marianne Creatables
 "Leaves 255".

The monochrome frame,
top right,
 is another Marianne Creatables
 die "Eline Frame 219"
 with two layered butterflies
 from Cheery Lynn
 "Exotic Butterfly Mini".

The gold ribbon is from
 my stash, the large
rhinestones are Kaiser,
 and the black cardstock
 is American Crafts.

Totally loving this layout,
 and Rebekah loves
 it too!

Now, I know you are just
 dying to play with this
 month's palette too,
 the colours are just
 too gorgeous to
 pass by.

So, head straight over to
 and see what my fellow
 DT girls have done
 with these colours -
 pure inspiration!

Then have a play yourself,
either a card or a layout
or both.

Just remember to start
 with a black background
when you play.

Enjoy.

See you at BW2

Hugs

SOUS Sketch Reveal

Yay....

It's Sketch Reveal Day
over at

And I am happy to show you my
 interpretation of the gorgeous
 sketch from our ex
co-leader Sandi, whom as you
 all know left SOUS
back in August - we miss her...

But, we still have this sketch,
 and the next one
 of Sandi's....

Sandi's Sketch...

More photo's from our recent
trip to Paris - this time
 the Louvre Art Gallery.

The papers I have used are
 Teresa Collins
 "Posh" Collection.

The butterflies are a
 CheeryLynn
 "Exotic Butterfly Mini" die.

I am so in love with the banners,
not something I normally indulge in.

Don't you just love sketches - they
make you try things you probably
 wouldn't otherwise!

The punched edges are
 Martha Stewart
 "Layered Arches".

The title alpha's are
 American Crafts Thickers
 "Platforms Black".

The black and white twine is
 "Gorjuss Baker's Twine".

And a few black rhinestones
 from Kaiser.

The black flowers are
Prima
 "Medice Flowers Venice".

The pink and black flourishes
 are a die from
 Marianne Creatables
"Rectangle Frame & Flourishes Set 116"

Love this layout.

Now, head on over to the
and see what my fellow DT
 girls have done with the
 sketch - truly wonderful.

Hopefully you can get a
chance to participate too,
and be in with a chance
of Top Three.

Hope to see you over
 at SOUS!

In the meantime,
I am off to London for a
few days with my daughter
 and oldest Granddaughter, Rebekah.

Looking forward to some girlie
 time with them.

We are going to Buckingham Palace
- yep, inside the Palace.

So excited, never used to
be able to do that.

Will let you know all about
it when I get back.

And you just know what my
 next few layouts are going
 to be....lol.

See you soon.

Hugs

BW2 September Palette

Whoo Hoo
I'm here today with my
 first reveal as a
 Design Team member
 at

I am so thrilled to be part of
this team, and had great fun
 putting my first
 DT project together.

However, this month,
 the girls decided to change
the challenge up a bit,
and instead of just two colours
 along with the black,
 they went with a multitude!

So, my first DT project
is not actually BW2,
 it's BW5...lol

Here is the gorgeous
 September Palette

Dominant Black with
Teal
Plum
Green
Purple
Pink
Yellow
Blue
Orange
and an allowance of 5% white.

Using any or all of the colours.

My page is mostly cardstock,
with a wee bit of patterned paper
 from We R Memory Keepers.

Bazzill cardstock colours used
Yellow = "Desert Sun"
Green = "Hillary"
Blue = "Pauly Poo"
Pink = "Pink Fairy"

The gorgeous blooms are from
 Prima
 "Petticoat Colours Bon Bon"

The eye catching yellow corner
 flourishes are a die from
 Cheery Lynn
"Victorian Romance Flourish"

The leaves are a
 Heartfelt Creations stamp
 "Distressed Leaves"

The blue c/s has been punched
with Martha Stewart PATP
 "Wild Flower"

The pink flourish flowers
are a die from
Marianne Creatables
 "Tiny Flowers 3"

The title was cut directly from
 the WRMK paper
- love it when you can do that -
takes the hard work out of
 thinking up a title!!

Really happy with the
vibrancy of this page
 - quite different from my
 usual style.

But, isn't that what a
challenge is all about...

I hope I have inspired you
 to try this unique challenge,
 and with inspiration from
the rest of the team over at the
 - you have to give this a try.

*****

Now, I am also on the card team
at BW2 and here is my
first card with the
 same September
colour palette.

The black ornate frame is
 Spellbinders
"Adorning Squares"

The topper is a gorgeous
 Le Suh design
 which I have layered up
 a wee bit and added
a wee tiny lilac
 bow to.

The celebrate frame is from
 Spellbinders
"5x7 Detailed Scallops"
 and the word Celebrate
 is a stamp from
 Just Rite Stamps.

I am so loving these sunflowers,
 and the
 Kaiser "Ebony" Sparklets
were just made for the middle
 of these gorgeous flowers,
 which I have highlighted
 with black.

The green background paper
 is from the DCWV stack
 "Garden Party"

A wee bit ribbon from
 my stash and some
 black Kaiser pearls
 to finish.

Whew, pretty photo heavy,
 but such fun!!

Now, head on over to the
and meet my fellow DT girls
 and be inspired by their
 beautiful work.

We also have sponsors for the
 winners of the layout
 and card categories.

So, give yourself a new challenge,
 and join us at BW2

Hope to see you there
