2013 in Review

Welcome to my final post of 2013...

and some of my favourite layouts this year.

So hard to choose...

So, I have gone for a Top 13 of 2013!

Enjoy..

Two of my fellow DT girls from
 Stuck On U Sketches
and now firm friends, Tracey & Annette.

They live in Brisbane, Australia.
 I live in Scotland.

The three of us used this same photograph for
 the SOUS sketch
 back in January, with
 very different results!

Darling Son's 30th Birthday.

Love this layout of Hubby and I.
 This was the
100th Sketch Reveal
 from SOUS
 in February.

Middle Granddaughter, Erin.
Using only paper - love it!

***

Loving this candid photo of
Darling Daughter - a total fluke!

 Loved this paper technique.
Time consuming, but so worth it.

Back in Brisbane again,
with Tracey and Annette.
 Lizzy is with us too.

She was on the SOUS DT for
a short time as a card designer.
But sadly, we no longer do
 card sketches on SOUS.

Love the papers, love the photo's,
 and my poor wee Granddaughters
running up and down the garden
holding hands until Granny
 got the
 PERFECT photo....lol.

***

So proud of Hubby taking this photo.
He doesn't usually get it right.

He sure took a good one this time.

This was the first photo I scrapped
of our recent trip to Paris.
Now one of my all time faves!

***

Moulin Rouge - what a memory.

Our Sketches at Stuck On U Sketches
 always provide the perfect
 blueprint for any subject.

 Layouts I wouldn't be producing
 without them.
This was from one of our
 sketches in August.

Two little girls and their Grumpy!

 Loving the natural tones in
 this layout and the treasured
photo's from a lovely day
 out with our
 Granddaughters!

I have hoarded these Pink Paislee
 papers for, like, forever,
 just waiting for the perfect
photo and the perfect sketch
to complement them.

The SOUS Sketch from October
 and photo of eldest
 Granddaughter, Rebekah,
made me finally chop
them up....lol!

I love to use black on my pages,
 it provides an amazing contrast
no matter what papers you use.

So I was thrilled to be invited
 to join the
 Black With 2 Design Team
 earlier this year.

 This layout was made using
the November Colour
Palette.

And, finally,
 a treasured photo of Rebekah,
from our trip to London.
 A favourite for sure.

Well, hope you enjoyed this
 little trip down memory
 lane with me.

Looking forward to more
 creative fun in 2014.

First DT Reveal will be
on
1st January 2014,
and a whole new format
- so excited to share with you.

Then on
 3rd January 2014,
the first
Sketch Reveal
 of the
 New Year
 from

Gotta Love Scrapbooking!

See you Soon!

SOUS Sketch Reveal

Only 5 sleeps to go.....

Here is my interpretation
of the last sketch for
 2013 from

The Sketch
by
Nanne...

I have used the beautiful
Christmas collection of papers from
 Teresa Collins
"Christmas Home"

The circular frame around
the photo was achieved using
 two dies from
Spellbinders
 "Grand Decorative Circles One"
and Bazzill c/s
 "Ivy"

The Bauble is stamped with
 Just Rite
 "Noel Christmas Ornaments"
 using Versamark
 and heat embossed with
 American Crafts EP.

 Then die cut with
 Spellbinders
 "2010 Heirloom Ornament".

A wee bit
 Dimensional Magic
 on the
 Holly Berries.

Treasured Memories from
 Christmas 2010
 in
 Perth,
Western Australia.

We're not outside at this time
of year with those little dresses
 on I can assure you.

 It's Baltic in Scotland
 - but, still no sign of
 snow....bahhhhhh.

Hopefully you will have
time to join us over at
 amid all the festive flurries.

Do try to get over and see
 what my fellow DT girlies
 have done with the sketch.

 Would love to see your
 take on it too.

Love
 &
Christmas Hugs

A Christmas Weekend Mini Album

Hi everyone.

I'm here today to share with
you a mini album I made to
 remember a great weekend
 from last December.

On the Saturday Daughter and I
took the girls to Glasgow for
 the day shopping and to
see the Christmas Lights
 and Decorations.

On the Sunday we went to
 Culzean Castle. Which is turned
 into an Enchanted Castle
for Christmas.

With all the Fairytales represented
 and so beautifully decorated.

And of course, the all important
visit to see Santa Claus!

The papers are all from the
Kaiser collection
 "Turtle Dove".

The mini measures
 8" wide x 7" high.

It was a beautiful day in Scotland.
Not a hint of snow!

A treasured little album
 for years to come!

Hugs
