Sketch Reveal Day at SOUS
It's Friday
That means Sketch Reveal Day over at
With a fantastic sketch by our own Sandi
My interpretation of the sketch
Sandi's Sketch
I have used one of the great
Christmas collections from
Kaiser "Just Believe"
Lots of distressing and some
curls in the paper
Spellbinders Nestabilities
"Beaded Circles" and "Classic Circles"
Some Kaiser rhinestones for hanging
the baubles
Some fussy cutting and lots of
Dimensional Magic on the berries
Lots of red and white glitter
to highlight the designs on the paper
and even some Puff paint
The flower is by Petaloo
"Chantilly Collection - Velvet
Hydrangeas - Rose"
Ribbon from stash
The beautiful pick is also by Petaloo
"Canterbury Collection - Poinsettia
& Berries - White"
A wee bit of masking with
a mask from Prima,
which I have removed from
its packaging somewhere
down the line, and
do not know its name
Photo is gorgeous middle
Granddaughter, Erin, from
last Christmas.
Loving this layout.
Now, head over to
and enjoy the work of my fellow DT girls,
such amazing talent on our team.
Have a go at the sketch
and be in with the chance
of being chosen as Top 3.
We would love to see your work
Be back soon

Altered Book & SOUS
Hello fellow crafters, today I'd like to
show you a gorgeous project
inspired by my beautiful friend,
and fellow DT member over at
Stuck On U Sketches,
When I was over in Brisbane recently,
she showed me this beautiful book
that she had altered
Well, I could not resist,
and had to have a go myself
Here is my first attempt at
altering a book....
Just an ordinary, hard backed book.
Transformed....
I have used beautiful K & Co papers
and yummy Prima flowers
The beautiful cameo I bought
from a company in USA
I wrote the verse on the inside myself
(click for a better view for reading)
A wee bit of lace and some
little blooms to decorate the inside
I am so in love with the finished
project, which I gifted to a
special friend, I will definately
be making another one,
to keep...lol
Meanwhile, over at
it is Die Cut Reveal Day
I am on the Sketch Team
and the Card Sketch Team,
however, there is another Team
the Die Cut Team
Each fortnight the challenge is set,
to incorporate a die cut
on your project,
of a specific topic
The topic for the current challenge is
TOYS
To use a die-cut of a toy or toys
Also on the SOUS Blog
today we are introducing
two new members to the Die Cut Team
Sylvie Hoobanoff
and
Holly Hudspeth
So, head on over there
and see what the Die Cut team are up to.
You may even be inspired to
dust off that little Cricut
sitting in the corner collecting dust,
I know mine is -
poor wee thing...lol
Hope you are all
organized for Christmas
See you soon

SOUS Sketch Reveal
Happy Friday everyone.
It's Sketch Reveal Day at
And what a beautiful sketch,
by Sandi, we had to play
with this time around.
Over at the Blog we are also
introducing three new members
to the Sketch Team today.
Sandi's Sketch
The gorgeous papers I have used
are from Creative Imaginations
"Night Divine" Collection.
The Holly Wreath around the photo
is made from a die by
Marianne Creatables.
Sadly this company do not
name their dies,
they only have a product number.
The beautiful bauble die
is by Memory Box
"Emma Ornament"
and "Drop Ornament"
The wee rhinestones are by Porta Craft.
The gorgeous flowers, that go
with this collection perfectly,
are by Prima
"Holiday Crimson"
The berry pick is by Petaloo
"Canterbury Collection"
A few wee bits of gold cord from my stash.
The photograph is gorgeous
youngest Granddaughter, Emma,
from last winter, with just
a wee touch of snow on the ground.
It hasn't snowed, yet, this winter,
but I'm sure it won't be long,
it's freezing here.
Taking a bit of getting used to
again, I'm usually sweltering
in the Aussie heat at this time of year.
No regrets!!
Very happy with this layout,
and it was fun putting the
wreath together, but running
the single die through
the Grand Calibur a thousand
(OK slight exaggeration)
times and then through
again to emboss each little
grouping of leaves, was quite
taxing on the right arm....lol.
Now, head over to the
and meet the
three new girls on our Sketch Team
Laura Gilhuly
Patricia Van Gelder
Carole Wright
and see what the rest of the team
has done with the Sketch
You won't be disappointed.
And you must join in the
sketch challenge,
this is a beautiful sketch
to work with.
See you over there.
Hugs

SOUS Card Sketch Reveal
Evening everyone.
Yes, I'm late posting, again!
It's the first Wednesday of December
and time for a new card sketch
over at
Not only is the new sketch up,
but we are also introducing
four new members to the
Card Sketch team.
All their details and first projects
are over at the
SOUS Blog
Now to my creation using
the great sketch from our Sandi
Sandi's sketch
I have gone for a monochromatic
style this time - not a piece of
patterned paper in sight - which
is not helping me reduce the stash
of papers I have...lol.
Only white card used,
cut into five flashes,
distressed and edged with
KindyGlitz "Crystalina"
A tag cut from the
same white card,
again distressed and edged
with KindyGlitz.
The stunning vine is
by Prima (of course)
"Holiday Celebration Frost Vine"
The wee sentiment is
by Craftwork Cards,
and mounted onto a small frame
using Spellbinders Shapeabilities
"Twisted Metal Tags & Accents"
A wee bit of Christmas ribbon
to finish.
Cha-Ching!!
Now, head over to the
and meet the new designers
Kim Richardson
Margie Calenda
Lizzy Crust
Andrea Parr
And see the beautiful cards
my fellow DT girls have made
- stunning!
See you over there
