Mood Board Reveal for May at Black With 2!

Hello everybody....

May already!

The 1st of the month means
 Reveal Day
at

And, boy, is there a lot
happening over at
 the
BW2 Blog
today!

It is the announcement of our new DT!

But before you go and
 meet the new girls on
 the team, here is my
 interpretation of the
 May Mood Board.

The two colours this month are
Soft Grey & Dark Slate
the word to use is 'Life'
and there is a sketch to follow.

May's Mood Board...

We also have these gorgeous
new frames on the blog
to showcase our layouts.

 Designed by fellow DT girl
 and good friend
Annette Gearside.
Love the font!

I must admit, I did struggle
 a bit with these colours,
 or lack of colours!

But, happy with the
 final outcome.

Pretty obvious where the
photo is - hubby and
 the Sydney Harbour
Bridge.

Certainly one of
 Life's Moments!

The border punch,
which I thought emulated
 the Bridge, upside down,
 is a
Tonic punch
 'Voile Valance Border'.

Chippies from
 Kaiser
 and
Twiddleybitz.

Tattered Angels mask.
and
 American Crafts black cardstock.

Remember, we have
monthly sponsors at
 Black with 2.

For May we have

And our continuing sponsorship
 from

Now, head on over to the
and meet the new DT girls,
 and see their awesome work
 with this month's
 Mood Board.

You're in for a treat.

See you there.

Hugs

BW2 January Challenge

Welcome to my first post
 of 2014!

A semblance of normality will
 now return.

But, hey, what a great
 Festive Season.

Hope you all had a
 wonderful holiday.

Now back to our favourite pastime
 - Scrapbooking!

Today is the Reveal of our
amazing new look
 over at

Eve has done a wonderful job
 with our new
 Mood Boards.

The basic concept remains the
same - Black with 2 colours
 and 5% white.

There is now also a sketch,
 a prompt word to use
 and an inspirational
 photo!

This is our first
 Mood Board
for
January 2014....

Use a black background
Sand
Seafoam
Use the word LOVE in journaling
Use the Sketch
Be inspired by the image.

Here is my interpretation...

This photograph was one of the
last we took before we left
Australia
 to return to
Scotland.

Taken at Rockingham Beach
 in Perth,
Western Australia.

The papers are so old I have
 no idea what they
 are. Daisy D maybe.

Basic Grey flowers with
 Kaiser pearls in the
 centre. Layered over black
 fronds from
 Marianne Creatables.

Heart border punched with
 Martha Stewart Double Edge
 "Heart Loops Trim".

Seahorse chippie by Twiddleybitz.

Treasured, but tinged with sadness.

Now you must head over to the
 Blog at
for more inspiration from
my fellow DT girls.

Then why not have a go
 with our new
 Mood Board.

Hope to see you over there.

Hugs

Party - SOUS Sketch Reveal

Whoo Hoo, it's Friday.

Time for another great sketch reveal from
 Stuck On U Sketches.

We have a lovely sketch from
our Nanne to play with, and,
boy, did I step out of my comfort zone
for this one....

Nanne's wonderful sketch...

The photo's are from my son's
 30th Birthday
- my baby is 30!!!!

Photo of darling daughter too.

I have used the "Vintage Blue"
 collection from Glitz
 and some "Vintage Blue"
 Paper Layers, which I have
distressed within an inch of their lives.
 It was fun though...hee hee.

A humble piece of string to
 hang my banner on, which
 I cut using
 Spellbinders "Marvelous Squares"
and the letters are Prima
 "Tiny Alphabet Stickers"

The flowers are Prima
and the trim is MME
 "Stella & Rose Decorative
 Trim - Hattie Boy"

I have used two chippies
 from Twiddleybitz
 "Chandelier" and "Oval Frame".
 On both I have used
"Antique Gold" Rub 'n' Buff
and white paint.

To frame the photo's I
 used Spellbinders
 "Decorative Labels One"
and "Labels One" and
 "Grand Scalloped Rectangles"
 for the striped background.

The wee vintage button at
the bottom is by Basic Grey.

I had fun with the distressing
on this layout, but I don't
think it is really my style,
 but, hey, think
outside the box - right!!

Now, head on over to
and see what my fellow DT girls
 have done with the sketch,
and then have a go yourself.

You have two weeks to upload
 your layout and be in
with a chance of Top Three.
We would love for you to take part.

And, don't forget,
our next sketch reveal,
 on 1st February,
will be our
100th Sketch,
and we have a fantastic Hop,
 with lots of Candy,
 to celebrate.

So, be sure to mark
 your diary for that.

In the meantime,
hope to see you
 over at SOUS!

Hugs

Twiddleybitz Sketch Challenge

Hello again folks, thanks for dropping in again....

This is one of the photo's I took while home in June....

Little Granddaughter, Emma, just turned 2.....

The layout is based on the June Sketch Challenge over at Twiddleybitz. I thought it was the perfect sketch to showcase this photo...

The sketch - by Skissedilla....

I have used two Twiddleybitz pieces -
'Totally Tweet Cage - Rooster' & 'Fern Leaf Flourish'

I have inked the cage with VersaColor Vanilla ink and then hilighted it with Rub 'n Buff - Antique Gold.....

The Rooster has been inked with VersaColor Vanilla and VersaColor Royal Blue, and then spritzed with Glimmer Mist - Dazzling Diamonds.....

The Flourish has been inked with Brilliance Ink - Graphite Black and I have added a wee Kaiser pearl....

I have always wanted to put one of these HUGE bows on a page, and voila - suits the page and the photo - I think!

The flowers are all Prima...
The paper is My Mind's Eye "So Sophie" Collection - 'Best Thing' - Ledger Girl Paper

Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page - Double Loop....
and the wee butterfly is a 7 gypsies stamp....

The perfect title - she was such a little angel, posing for Granny's camera - again!!
