Egg Hunt

Here is my interpretation of the
latest sketch over at

I am so happy that they have gone
to fortnightly sketches....
I'm sure there aren't 24 hours
in a day anymore.......LOL
This is the sketch from Sketchy Thursday.....

Here is the left side of the double layout....
I'm not a great fan of doubles
- too much space to fill -
certainly a challenge.....

I have used the Lime Tart September Half Tart Kit
- yummy or what.....

Papers are Fancy Pants - Wishful Thinking.....
Labels from the same range.....

The raffia flowers are by Sandie.....
Pearls are Flourish With A Bling - Latte.....

Title Alphabet by Porta Craft.....
Rubons by Jenni Bowlin -
Old School Alpha Minis Red.....
The right side of double layout.....

The cardstock is Bazzill.....
and the trim is by Prima.....

Photo's are DGD # 1 Rebekah at Easter this year....

Well, that's me again for this post.....
First DT projects for Inspired Crafts are now
on display at the store.....
Will be able to post them here soon.....
I have decided to draft the OTP projects from
the Cricut Workshop and have them
post while I'm away in Scotland for a month.....
Don't want you all to think I've disappeared.....
I probably won't have time to post while I'm away...
Three weeks tomorrow..... Yay.....
Hugs

Godparents

Finally, I can show this very special project.....
I made this last month for a very special little girl
- our Goddaughter - Nicola-Rose....
She was baptised on Saturday, in Albany,
a coastal town south of Perth,
about a five and a half hour drive.
So we had a really nice long weekend away......

Nicola-Rose has two older sisters,
and when they were born I was a cross-stitcher.
(Scrapbooking wasn't a word in my vocabulary).
The older girls are now 9 and nearly 7.

I cross-stitched the older girls
birth samplers when they were born.
What to do this time, however.
I no longer cross-stitch, and I don't think
my eyes could take it even if I wanted to.....LOL
So, I'll scrapbook a birth sampler.....

I started with a store bought frame,
meant for multiple small photo's......

Discarded the glass and inner mount......

And ended up with this......
Whoa.....frame kinda takes over.....

So, painted it white, and happy with finished result.....

A few close-ups.....

I have used Basic Grey 'Two Scoops' paper
and Deja Views 'Sharon Ann Baby Girl' paper....
Flowers and pearl flourish by Prima.....

Martha Stewart Round the Corner Punches
'Modern Garland'....
Tags by Melissa Francis....
Butterfly Stamp by 7gypsies....
Little Crown by Dusty Attic....

The corner flourish and name are cut on
Cricut from Heritage and Wall Decor carts....
Long Classic Scallop and
Large Rectangle Nestabilities....

Lace and ribbon from stash.....

*****
Nicola-Rose with her Mum,
my oldest friend here in Australia.....
We are both nurses, and met when I
arrived in Australia, ten years ago,
just before her first daughter was born....
First daughter was then born on my
husband's birthday, 9th April,
making our relationship that wee bit more special.....
First daughter was subsequently
flower girl at our wedding in 2007.....
Second daughter was born on St Andrew's Day,
30th November. St Andrew is the
Patron Saint of Scotland,
double whammy - guess what
my husband's name is.... Andrew.....LOL
And then this little one comes along
a few years later and we were
given the honour of being her Godparents......

Group photo - Andy and I to the left,
Mum and Dad in the middle, priest at the back,
and second Godparents to the right....

After the ceremony,
Nicola-Rose a wee bit grumbly.....

The Godfather.....

The Godmother.....

Here we are with those
three very special little girls.....

I'll be around to see what you have
all been up to while I have been away,
and start catching up with my DT stuff....
Only three and a half weeks 'til
we leave for Scotland.....!!!
Time moves along so quickly....

Workshop

Sundays Cricut Workshop for
was a great success......
These are the three layouts the girls created.....

The flowers were cut on Cricut (of course),
stamped, Glimmer misted, distressed and layered.....
Thus matching the layout perfectly.....

The papers were all from the
Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby Paper Stack.....

Using a Peachy Keen stamp for Mum's face - love it.....

I also made 12 Off The Page projects,
which I will post over the next few days.....
*********

Here are a few photo's of the
girls creating at the Workshop.....

Next Cricut Workshop is to be 28th November
- a week after I get back from Scotland.....

Now I can get to work on my
first DT project for Inspired Crafts......
Never a dull moment......LOL
Thanks for dropping in again girls.....
Hugs.....

Erin

This is my darling middle granddaughter, Erin....
She lives in Scotland,
and I haven't seen her since she was a baby
Well, she was 2 on Saturday

This is not a recent photo of her....
Son is not too good on the sending photo's to Mum....
Well, I'll be there myself in, what, a few weeks,
so will be able to take lots of my own...!!
Happy Birthday Erin xx
*****

On Sunday, Inspired Crafts held a
Meet The Design Team
Cheese and Wine Reception.....

A few of my projects were there, but sadly I wasn't....
Russell took the photo's
and sent them via e-mail - Thanks Russell....

The latest
Cricut Workshop
was on that day, and unfortunately,
I couldn't be in two places at the same time....

Christine and Russell said the afternoon
was a huge success,
with the six other DT girls there,
and they also had the draw for the
final seat in their Hummer competition.....
So, now that the Cricut Workshop is done,
I can get started on my first creation for
Inspired Crafts as part of the DT.....
My papers are 7 gypsies
'Conservatory Paper' collection.....
Will post the projects from the
Cricut Workshop soon...
Thanks for dropping in
Hugs

Birthday Card

My BFFs birthday has come around again....
On the 12th actually....
Couldn't post the card here until I was sure
she had received it back in Scotland...

Papers are Kaiser - Plush Empress....
Bazzill cardstock....

The stamp is a favourite by Stamp It.....
Ribbon from my stash....

Some Kaiser pearls.....

Stamps on the inside by Inkadinkadoo....
Scalloped square Nestabilitie.....

And lots of foam mounting tape for dimension....
Only problem was - wouldn't fit in an envelope!!!!
I had to put it in a padded bag for postage!!!
Got there safely and she loves it....
Happy Birthday Patricia....
See you in October - YAY!!!!
Hugs
