SOUS Sketch Reveal

Welcome!

It's Sketch Reveal Day
 over at

My interpretation...

The Sketch
 by our own
 Leah...

The lovely photo is my
 darling son and his
 lovely girlfriend.

 Such a happy couple!

And. Drumroll....

 I have finally used some
 My Mind's Eye
"Lost & Found Two - Breeze"

I have had the whole collection of
Lost & Found Two - yes all four sets,
 since they were released!

I just couldn't cut them up.

They are such gorgeous papers.

So, I gave myself a kick in
 the butt and used them.

Why are we so protective of
 pieces of paper?

But I am so happy I did.

Loving the way this page turned out.

It frames the photograph perfectly!

The border and corner punches
 are from
Martha Stewart
 "Vintage Doily".

The circular die is from
Tonic
 "Dotty Lace Circle Doily",
which I moved off centre from
 the sketch to house the
 oval hot air balloon element
 cut from the papers.

I replaced the hearts on the
 sketch with wee bunches
of red roses from my stash.

The brown fronds are a
Marianne Creatables Die
"Leaves Set".

Even son said it was OK.
Now that's a compliment from him!

Don't forget this month's prize
over at SOUS for taking part
 in any of the challenges
during July.

Kindly donated by our own

Now, to head on over to the
 and see what my fellow
 DT girls have done with
 the sketch.

Thanks for dropping in today.

Hugs

Sketch Reveal at SOUS!

Welcome again Scrapping Friends!

I'm here today with the
 latest sketch
from

My, how time flies!

Here is my take on the
 sketch by our Leah...

Leah's Sketch.

I'm afraid this poor layout really
 has an identity crisis!

I'm loving all the elements,
and even had some
 fun with glitter.

But, I'm not quite sure which
 genre this would
fit into...lol!

The papers are from
 October Afternoon
"Ducks In A Row"
 (2009!!!).

Collectables from the
 Kaiser
"Enchanted Garden"
 Collection.

The beautiful floral sprays from
 Tattered Lace
 "Chamomile Spray".

Youngest Granddaughter,
 Emma, graduating from
 Nursery School.

Can't believe the baby of
the family is starting
 school in August!

The prize up for grabs,
if you take part in any
 of the
SOUS Challenges for July,
 has been generously donated
by our very own
 Helen Gullett
 - from the
Stuck On U Sketches
Die Cut Team.

What a wonderful bunch
 of goodies.

So, head over to the
see what the rest of the
Design Team have done with
 the sketch, and then
join in the
challenge too.

Remember, we have three
 challenges running at any
one time - the Sketch, Die Cut
 and Project Life - something
 for everyone.

Hope to see you all join us soon.

Hugs

July Mood Board at Black With 2

Welcome again friends!

1st of the month means
Reveal Day
at

This month's Mood Board
Orange & Grey.

A gorgeous combination against black!

My interpretation of the
 Mood Board....

I think most of us used
 photo's of sunsets - such
 a perfect choice
 for these colours.

This was a photo I took
 back in 2003,
 when we lived in
 Perth, WA.

Using American Crafts
cardstock, and a wee bit of
 Kaiser patterned paper from
 the "Curiosity" collection.

The title alpha's are
Basic Grey.

A Prima stencil,
 gesso and a wee bit
orange paint.

All my elements are orange,
but I did use a wee bit of grey
 - the Kaiser Sparklet in the centre
of the Prima flower, which is
 from the
"Caribbean Monster Collection".

So, I finally tried my hand
 at stencil work.

 Will certainly have another go.

Maybe with a bit more on
 the page - baby steps....lol.

Now you must head on over to the
and see the stunning layouts
 from my fellow DT girls
 - they have some amazing
 mixed media interpretations.

Then, join us in the challenge.
There are prizes to be had
 every month and also
 featured layouts which are
 displayed at the head of
 the BW2 Blog.

Just remember to start with
 a black background,
use the word Tropicana in your journaling
and the two colours this month
 orange and grey.
 Follow the sketch and use
 the beautiful photo on the
 Mood Board for inspiration.

Most important rule of all -

Have Fun

Hugs
