Hey there, everyone! We have some exciting news to share today! Glitz
Design has officially launched their new website! Check out the new and
updated lo...
I'm back again, this time with my interpretation of the latest sketch over at Stuck On U Sketches.....
Another sketch by their own Nanne Harry - wonderful....
I have used my Lime Tart, July 2011, A La Tarte kit.....
Everything on the page was from the kit, I did not need to add anything - brilliant. However, the disadvantage of that is that my stash wasn't raided....
The papers are Sassafrass Lass 'Sunshine Broadcast' collection - including an interesting sheet of 'Folding Dimensional Die Cuts' - the flowers.....
The flower cluster, to the bottom left of the photo, is actually one piece! There is a wee tab joining them together, and this is folded to give the dimension - easy peasy!!
I have inked the papers and flowers with Distress Inks 'Pumice Stone' and the Dusty Attic 'Foliage' with Brilliance ink 'Graphite Black'
Bazzill cardstock and ribbon from the kit - done....
The photo is Darling Granddaughter, Rebekah, with her toy cat that stays at her Great Grandpa's house. Another adorable photo....
Well, that was my last time taking part in the SOUS Sketch Challenge......
Next sketch, August 5th, I'm part of the Design Team.....
Sooooooooooo excited....
Can't wait to join that beautiful group of ladies.....
Hello fellow crafty friends, thought I better catch up with my Walkabout Wednesday projects over at Scrappy Go Lucky.....
They have still been running weekly over at the blog, but, I have been neglect in getting them posted here....
This is the current layout, following a sketch by Becky Fleck, using the Graphically Speaking cartridge - the details are all over at the Scrappy Go Lucky Blog.....
This next layout is from a sketch by Inspired Blueprints, using the Damask Decor cartridge....
Next is following a sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches with the Lacy Labels cartridge....
Next, from a sketch by Becky Fleck, using Celebrate with Flourish cartridge....
I have been taking part in their sketch challenges since Sketch # 1 back in October 2009, finding their sketches a great starting point to getting layouts from the planning stage, of paper and photographs, to completion....
So, when Nanne, Sandi and Leah invited me to be a part of the Design Team, how could I say no....
I am super excited to become a part of this amazing team, which includes some of my favourite scrapbook designers.....
However, my first DT design will not be until August 5th sketch, in two weeks.....
Here's a wee sneakie peakie of that design....
There are some amazing changes coming over at SOUS, and the post for Aug 5th will have lots of new and exciting stuff, so the girls decided to announce me this week, so I don't get lost in all the excitiement, how cute.....LoL
So, head over to Stuck On U Sketches, and take part in the current challenge, I am....
It will be my last entry as a follower - next sketch I will be a Designer - whoo hoo......
In celebration of something fantastic about to happen, I have fought with my computer and as you can see, after nearly three years with my little blog - I finally have a header!!!!!
This was no mean feat for me, and I can tell you it caused no end of expletives during development!!!!
I have tried to make headers in the past (3 years!!!) and they just never seemed to work - too big, too small, layers all stuffed up, etc. etc.
This one is from Shabby Blogs and their great video tutorial walked me through it - baby steps....hee hee!!
I will make another one, more in keeping with my style, but for now, I'm just happy to have one....
Stay posted for my fantastic news - I can hardly wait.....
Hello crafty friends, I'm here with the latest challenge over at Birthday Sundaes - Anything Goes, again.....
I never know what to do when they have an anything goes challenge - I like a bit of direction.
I think that's why I get along with sketches in my scrapbooking. They give me a starting point - saves me sitting staring at papers for days wondering where to start...LoL
Anyway, I went with the beautiful Do Crafts Pampered Pets range again. Remember my Poodle card, well this is the Sitting Pretty Cat.....
Have layered the cat in this beautiful oval frame....
Added a wee bit of Kaiser bling...
A bit of 'fluffy'?? ribbon (I have no idea what this stuff is actually called. It's very fibrous and if you stretch it widthways, it tears very easily - anyone help)
So, there we have it - nice and easy, and another birthday card in my stash...
