Welcome to Day 5 of our
Round The World with CRI-Kits Blog Hop
*****
to post her clue for the grand prize
and show us her project
Yesterdays layouts and card by Tracey were amazing
*****
My project with the CRI-Kits gel pens today is Disney.....
The pens are great for the facial features
of the characters, which, as you know,
can be a nightmare to cut, and to piece together.....
I have gone with Cinderella from the
Happily Ever After cartridge....
Here is the Cricut in action, again.....
I love the detail captured by the pens
- this time the Black pen from the Metallic collection.....
I thought I would use the image for a
four year olds birthday card, however,
I think the background paper I went with is a
bit too old for a kiddie - too late.....
You can see from the Cricut photo,
I drew the whole character on the flesh coloured card,
however, when I layered the coloured pieces
onto the flesh card, it looked extremely odd....
These characters really need to be against
a black bacground....
So, I cut out the face and pieced it along with the rest.....
Needs a bit of fine tuning me thinks,
and her hands and fingers don't look right either.....
I will have to try this technique again,
however, you get the idea,
and her face does look stunning.....
I'm still wondering whether I should colour
her eyes and lips, like you would if she were stamped
- what do you think?
The number 4 is cut from the
Tie The Knot cartridge and layered with foam....
A wee bit of ribbon and a few pearls.....
