Lasting Memories # 37

I decided to have a go at challenge # 37 over at Lasting Memories....
Pink and yellow - not my first choice for a layout, but I like it....


Our inspiration for the challenge was to be taken from this card....


So, I went with a photograph of DD and DGDs #1 and #3 from Mother's Day last year...

Papers are from Teresa Collins "Freestyle" Collection and Cosmo Cricket's "DeLovely" Collection....


The chipboard frame is by RW Laser Cuts "Circle Flower" which I have inked with VersaColor 'Opera Pink' and then touched up with Glimmer Glam 'Lipstick Pink'....


The title is Cosmo Cricket "Hello Yello"....

The rub-on is from Kaiser "Mother" set....


Ribbons and roses from stash.....

Had fun putting this one together. Certainly not one I would have made without the beautiful inspiration from Lasting Memories....

Kaiser May Sketch # 1

I'm really loving working with this new collection from Kaiser.

Here is my third layout with the Chapter One Collection.

However, I have gone with the lime green, instead of the aqua this time....




I also thought I would have a go at the Kaiser sketch this time - the stipulation being that the project must be 70% Kaiser products - fair enough....



All the papers and tags are Kaiser "Chapter One" Collection....



Kaiser Wood Flourish "Curls" - inked with Brilliance Ink "Graphite Black"
Kaiser Rub-on from "Elegance" Collection
Kaiser flowers "Midnight" and "Snow" - spritzed with Tattered Angels Chalkboard "Inchworm"
Kaiser rhinestones "Split Pea"
Kaiser Journal Stamp (date) from "Pennyroyale" Collection....



The chipboard title "Family Ties" is by Scrap FX and I have inked it black and spritzed with Chalkboard "Inchworm" again....



The photo's are my daughter, my son, and myself from a photo shoot we had back in 2004 - before the granddaughters came along....





Another group of treasured photo's on a layout at last....

Birthday Sundaes # 8

Challenge # 8 over at Birthday Sundaes is a recipe....

3 different embellishments & 2 patterned papers...

Here is my take...



Papers are the gorgeous "Chapter One" Collection from Kaiser....



The three embellishments are the Prima rose, Prima trim and the 7 gypsies stamped butterfly....



The sentiment was actually the freebie on the cover of the latest docrafts Creativity magzine....



Nestabilities to frame the sentiment and some black inking....

Frosted Designs 5-3 # 14

Again using the new collection from Kaiser "Chapter One" I have finally used this amazing photo of DGD # 1, taken in November 2009 when she was 3 years and 3 months old....

The latest sketch over at Frosted Designs was perfect for the photo and papers....



The sketch by Debbie.....



The layout is made entirely from Kaiser Chapter One, except the Bazzill cardstock background....



Lots of distressing, and a little inking....



"you can be great at everything you choose" was straight from the journal sheet in the collection - perfect....





Totally loving this layout....



And, just a close up of the power in this kid's eyes....



Still more to come with this collection - I'm gonna use every last little bit of it - determined....

It's All About Me!!!

I've found another challenge blog - Lasting Memories....

They are at Challenge # 36 "It's All About Me"

So I thought I would have a go - don't do many layouts with a photo of moi....



Papers are the latest collection from Kaiser "Chapter One"



Flourishes are Twiddleybitz "Grapevine Borders"
Corner Flourish is Dusty Attic "Ornate Corner"



I have inked all the chipboard flourishes with Brilliance Ink "Graphite Black"



The wee roses are from my stash. They were yellow to start with, but a wee spritz of Glimmer Mist "Bahama Blue" soon changed that...



The stamped word 'Original' is from Kaiser, as are the wee black pearls....



The photo is of me, taken last April in Dubai. We were on our way to have lunch at the Burj Al Arab - THE 7 star hotel. Wow, was that an experience.....

My Own Wee Chair

Good morning fellow bloggers.....

Over at Frosted Designs they are having a mega on-line crop......

First challenge was to make a layout in one hour, using ribbon.....

I made this in 20 minutes....!!!!




Using my Lime Tart June 2010 Half Tart....



Papers are Crate Paper "Paper Doll" Collection....



The vine is Prima "Petite Fleur Vine Aster"....

However - TOO LATE!!!!!

We are a wee bit ahead of the states down here in Oz. I was up at 7.30am (hubby going to golf!!!) and was browsing when I remembered the challenge.....

Still 30 minutes to post entries - I can do this....

Yep, layout done in 20 minutes - fastest one ever for me....

Then the fun starts - take the photo's, upload to blogger - OMG, why is blogger sooooooo sloooooow......

Collection closed....

Never mind, another layout of gorgeous Emma done, in record time....

So, anyway, head over to Frosted Designs, they have loads going on, all day, or night, depends where you are....LOL

I have also done the Frosted Designs challenge this week, finished that layout yesterday, will post it after the crop is finished.....

What's next me thinks....
