Scrap and Stamp Challenge

We're back from Hong Kong - Had a great holiday, what an amazing place - soooooo many people in such a small space - loved it!!!

So, back into my scrap room - and a quickie layout for the challenge over at Scrap and Stamp www.scrapandstampsaturday.blogspot.com using this sketch....

This challenge blog is for layouts and mini books - no cards - so suits me fine, and their only rule is to use at least one stamp.....

The stamp I used is Papermania's Build A Rose clear stamps by Docraft's and a script stamp (on the wings) by Stampin' Up called En Francais.....

The products I have used have all come from the Lime Tart July '09 Full Tart Kit - yes, July, I am so far behind with these gorgeous kits - so I have challenged myself to start using these kits for the challenge blogs - I'll see how it pans out - all the best intentions, etc.....

The papers are 7 gypsies, the invisibles (at bottom left) by Heidi Swapp and I have used Cricut to cut the large shape in centre of layout - using brown Bazzill c/s @ 8.05" from Winter Wonderland and the paper size @ 7.76".....

The photographs are DGD Rebekah in March '09.....

Good to be back in the scrap room - coming round to see what you have all been up to while I was away....

Hugs

SOUS # 21

I'm still here.....

This is my take on sketch # 21 over at SOUS www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com

And, I missed Mr MckLinky - again..... The sketch, by Aymee Gandy....

I have used Bella papers - Ever After collection, and the Journalling Die-Cutz from the same collection....

Flowers are Prima, Kaiser pearls, Heidi Grace stick pins, Making Memories mini shimmer alpha, Martha Stewart punch, and the Rub Ons are Kaiser.....

Which means I can enter this layout at the Practical Scrappers site - their challenge this week is to use rub-ons - so all is not lost....
www.practicalscrappers.com

The photo is my two children, when they were really little - they both have children of their own now!!!!!!!!.......

Time certainly is marching on.....

Sketch # 22 is up at SOUS, I will try to have a go, but, DH and I are off to Hong Kong on Sunday, for a wee break, and to celebrate his 50th birthday.....

While I have been otherwise occupied with every day life (no excuses) I have been the recipient of two awards from my beautiful blogging friend Fern over at www.texasstampinmamaw.blogspot.com

I am supposed to pass these on, and also give some trivial info about myself - but to be perfectly honest with you, I just don't have the time, and I have noticed that most of you already have them - so I will say Thank You again Fern, I really do appreciate you thinking of me.....

And, to finish this post - this was a quick wee Easter Card I made for the Scrappy Go Lucky site using the Easter 2010 mini cart - too cute.....

I will hopefully have time to post again before we head off for Hong Kong, but if I don't, have a wonderful Easter everybody, and don't eat too much chocolate.....
Bye for now
Hugs

SOUS 19

Here is my interpretation of Sketch # 19 over at SOUS - www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com

Here is the sketch by Becky Fleck of Pagemaps.....

We were also to use four different papers - I have used papers and embellishments by Little Yellow Bicycle....

This is one of my all time favourite collections - Love Letters.....

Photo's are from December last year, when daughter and I took the girls to Christmas Carols in the Park.....

And, I haven't used Cricut - I'm currently working on a Heritage Mini Book for Scrappy Go Lucky and felt like a wee break from Cricut when doing this layout.....

This next layout is from a class I attended at one of my LSS's - Just Scrapbooking.....

I love the texture on the tree and the layering of the flowers from Crate Paper - you can just tell it isn't one of my creations.....

So, that's me for now - back to my Heritage Book and Cricut.....

See you soon.....

Hugs.....

SOUS Challenge 18

This week over at SOUS www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com the sketch is by Becky Fleck and we were to add bling - here is my take.....

The sketch.....

Papers are Bo Bunny 'St Nick' collection, and the title is from the same collections cardstock sticker sheet.....

I cut the mat for the photo at 8" (doesn't look so nice cut at this bigger size) from A Child's Year.....

The bling Bauble is Kaiser, and I think the silver trim on the ribbon looks very blingy.....

Photograph is darling little Emma - No 3 Granddaughter - on Christmas Day, with the Toy Box from Granny and Grumpy (aka me and hubby) - the look on her face is a picture.....

I looked up the word bemused - just to make sure it was appropriate for the page - "perplexed by many conflicting situations or statements; filled with bewilderment. Perplexed. Baffled. Bewildered and confused"

Suits this photo perfectly.....
Thanks for looking....

Hugs.....

Card using the same welded frame as the layouts posted previously.....

The 'man' card.....

Wedding card.....

Birthday card.....

Anniversary cards.....

And another layout.....

All Cricut elements have been cut from the Heritage cartridge, except the title 'Days Gone By' on the layout - that was Blackletter cart.....

All the details of sizes, etc are over at Scrappy Go Lucky's Blog.....
***** ***** *****
This week over at Scrappy Go Lucky www.scrappy-go-lucky.com Mandy is giving away the Sentimentals cartridge.....

Fellow DT member Tereesa is doing the projects this week. I have included a wee teaser of her first project, though I won't be able to post her full projects, they're not mine to post.

So, you will have to visit www.scrappy-go-lucky.com to see her stunning work - we are still trying to convince Tereesa to start a blog....

Good luck with the draw, and again, if you don't win, Mandy has the cartridge on sale for $76.00....

Post again soon.....

Hugs.....
