SOUS Sketch Reveal

Morning everyone!

Time for our new sketch reveal over at

And what a great sketch this was to
work with too!

My interpretation...

The Sketch - designed by
our own Leah!

Had great fun tearing all these circles,
and then trying to get all the
bits back in the right place.

It was like a jigsaw puzzle.
And would any of the bits stay
put while I was trying to put it
back together, prior to sticking down!!

You get the picture...lol

The great photos were taken
when Hubby and I took two
 of our Granddaughters out for
a day to our local
 Country Park at Kelburn.

We couldn't have asked for a better day.
The sun shone brilliantly.
A rare occurrence here in Scotland!

Our Granddaughters call hubby "Grumpy"

These gorgeous blooms are from
 Petaloo
 "Darjeeling Zinnia Mix"

The little white flowers are also
 Petaloo
 "Mini Rose Clusters"

The leaves are from
Green Tara.

More older papers
- Basic Grey "Archaic" -
 they certainly are
 archaic...lol

The bling circlet is also
Basic Grey
 Designer Rhinestones.

The beautiful Fern stamp is from
 Hot Off The Press.

The pink bloom is from Prima
 "Painterly Petals Cavalier"

The tree die cut, in photo above,
has been in my stash since the
 first week I started scrapbooking
I'm sure, way back in 2005,
glad to finally get it onto a page.
It's from EK Success.

The wee butterfly stamp is Prima.

The stitched brads are Basic Grey.

Whew! Did I miss anything!

Certainly had fun with this layout,
and managed to make another
 wee dent in my hoard!!

Really happy with this page.

Hope you can find time to
 play along with this one.

Head over to the
 for further amazing inspiration
 from my fellow DT girls.

See you over there

Hugs

New Design Team

I'm here today with my
 exciting news.

I have been invited, by the
beautiful Eve Rae,
to be a part of the
 Black with 2
 Design Team.

I am so thrilled to become a
 member of this great
 challenge site.

This is my sidebar image on
 the Bw2 Blog.

What is Bw2 for those not
 familiar with the
Challenge Blog.

Black with 2 is a monthly challenge.

All the layouts and cards
 have the dominant colour black,
with two colours as the
 accents - a challenge indeed.

But, I do like to use a lot
of black on my layouts -
now I have the perfect excuse...lol

I will be starting with the
 September Challenge.

In the meantime,
the current August challenge on the
 Bw2 Blog
 is this gorgeous colour palette.

The rules for your layout and/or card are -
To use dominant Black
Sunset Orange
Tropical Waters
and
an allowance of 5% White

How gorgeous are these colours.

So, why not head over to the
 Bw2 Blog
and have a go at this
 amazing challenge and meet
the fab DT girls - who will all
 be appearing on my
 sidebar soon....

Hugs

SOUS Sketch Reveal

It's Sketch Reveal Day
at

And, I'm so happy to be
able to show you my layout.

Hubby and I outside the
Moulin Rouge in Paris,
 during our recent trip.

The fabulous sketch from
our own co-leader
 Leah.

Papers used are from
 Kaiser
 "Velvet Ensemble"

Film Strip from
 Tim Holtz
 "Filmstrip Frames" die.

Loving all the little photo's
I was able to display.

Some fussy cutting from the papers.

And a wee bit red tassel trim.

The beautiful floral embellishment
was bought a few years ago
from a haberdashery store
 when I lived in Australia.

Spellbinders
 "Opulent Ovals"
for the mask image.

Spellbinders
"Grand Decorative Ovals One"
 for the large black 'circle'.

"Fleur De Lis Accents"
 for the corner pieces.

The show was absolutely fabulous.
It was such a thrill to see the
 "Can Can".

Boy, can those girls dance!

And, the costumes!!!

They must have changed thirty
 times - no exaggeration!

Spectacular!

Found this old black and white
 photo, on the Net,
of the Moulin Rouge back in the 1900s

Loved how this layout came together.
 Another treasured memory
 for the album.

Now, head on over to the
 and drool over the work
 of my fellow DT girls,
and then have a go at this
 wonderful sketch.

Would love to come and visit
 you on your Blogs and
 leave some scrappy love.

Other happenings in the world
of Stuck On U Sketches
are the sad news that one of
our co-leaders, Sandi Clarkson,
has made the difficult decision
 to leave SOUS.

She was one of the founders way
back from day 1, and will
be missed. The link to her
blog remains on my side bar
 (of course).

Sadly we are also losing Fern Riley

I wish them all well and can't
 wait to see what they
 are up to next...lol

Other news, which you may
 have noticed. I have updated
my profile picture, at last.

The previous photo was five
years old! Time is marching on,
and so are the wrinkles...lol

This new profile photo is from
one of the photo's taken in
 Paris recently.

 Should be good for another
five years - I hope!!

Some exciting news to come soon.

But, that's me for the time being.

Hugs

I haven't made a card for
a wee while, so I thought
 I would whip one

 give it a go.

My interpretation of their
 great sketch...

 Heartfelt Creations Stamp
 "Distressed Leaves"

The Friendship stamp
