SOUS Challenge

I really enjoyed playing with the current sketch challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches....

My gorgeous oldest and youngest granddaughters - Rebekah and Emma, in a photo taken in Scotland last year....



The sketch, by Beggahuna, is a stunner, and gives the opportunity to really throw some stash at it - great fun.....



The bulk of the the products on the layout are from my Lime Tart May 2010 Half Tart kit....



The papers are Pink Paislee "Bayberry Cottage" Collection and the cardstock is Bazzill...



The large bloom is Prima "Guava Peony Etude" - totally gorgeous....



The smaller black flowers with bling centres are Green Tara
The roses were in the kit....



Lots of fussy cutting with the beautiful papers and a few bits and bobs added....



I have a box in my scrappy room where I throw little things that I will (might) use at some point, which I have labeled my 'findings' box. I have made a committment to use something out of this box on every layout (wonder how long that will last....LOL)

For this layout I have used the little silver frame, with the cream coloured Green Tara bloom in it....



I love this layout, and it is now hanging on the wall.

Walkabout Wednesday for SGL

It's Wednesday again folks - time again for my Walkabout Wednesday post over at Scrappy Go Lucky....





The sketch, by Becky Fleck, is an A4 vertical, so I have decided to scrap our recent trip to CHA 2011 in Los Angeles, in this format....


This is my first A4 layout. I have used the Sentimentals cartridge.....

Hello everyone - it's week 3 over at Birthday Sundaes....

I white embossed the sentiment onto black cardstock, cut it close and popped it up with foam....

Walkabout Wednesday for SGL

Wafi Mall - SOUS

Hello everyone - thanks for dropping in again....

Today I have my interpretation of the current sketch over at Stuck On U Sketches....



The sketch, by Becky Fleck....



Using my January 2010 Full Tart from Lime Tart....



The papers are Bo Bunny "Gypsy" collection....



The blue vine is Prima, of course, "Flutter Vines" Pacific Blue....



The rub ons are Heidi Swapp "Fuzzy Flowers" white - boy, were they hard to transfer or what, but they have a lovely velvet texture, well worth the extra elbow grease...



The single blue flower is also Prima "Strawberry Kisses"



The title is Scenic Route "Quincy Alpha Stickers"



And the wee bit blue lace was in the kit.....

The photo's are from one of the smaller malls in Dubai, but boy, do they go to town on the decor. This mall had an Egyptian theme.

The largest mall in Dubai, "Dubai Mall", at the tallest building in the world site, wasn't opened yet when we were there in 2007. We went to that one last year (2010) on our way to Scotland, and they sure don't do things by half in Dubai. Photo's from that Mall one day....LOL
