Catching Up

I'm back again

Took longer than I thought.....

So, what have I been up to for the year
I have been away?

Still scrapping up a storm.

Teaching weekly classes and trying to
get my new house (over a year now)
just the way I want it!

Today I want to share a layout of
my youngest Granddaughter,
Olivia.

This was a pack of papers I bought about
TEN years ago to make layouts for
my eldest Granddaughter.... LOL!

I've been having a massive clearout
of my scrapping supplies and came across
them so decided to make some layouts
and finally get Olivia's album started!

Coming Soon.......

More layouts....

Shadowbox.....

Canvas....

Mini Albums....

Altered Items.....

Even some cards....

Full details and lots more photo's for
all these projects coming soon.

One of my favourites being the shadowbox
which I made from a
£1.50 photo frame.

See you again soon.

Hugs

Treasure Family - SOUS DT

Welcome dear friends.

It's my turn to post over at the
 today, with my
 interpretation
 of Leah's wonderful
 sketch.

A photograph from 1934 of my
 maternal Grandmother,
 Aunt Nan, and
Aunt Liz.

Leah's great sketch...

Continuing with my endeavour to
use old papers, these are
 from the
 "English Rose"
 collection from
 Kaiser.

I bought the gorgeous lace and trim
 from M & J Trimmings when
 I was in New York
last year.

The flowers are from
 Prima
 "Parisa Winston Mix"
and the green flourishes
 are a die from
Tattered Lace
 "Flourish Swirls".

The cameo, doily, hat pin
and seam binding are from
Tattered Inspirations
 "Springtime Love" mini kit.

Thank you for dropping in today.

Now head on over to
 and join in the challenge.
 We love to see your
beautiful pages.

Remember, my fellow
 SOUS Sisters post daily,
 for lots of inspiration.

See you over there.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone!

Here's hoping 2015 will bring
all the peace and happiness
 you desire!

I'm going to share with you a
 perpetual calendar I made
 last year with the gorgeous
 Place In Time
 papers from
 Graphic 45.

I seriously hoard G45!

It takes a lot of will power to
 actually use them!

However, I am so glad I did.

I will showcase each month's
 page on the 1st of
the month.

So, here is January.

I have placed a photo on each
 page of all important
 birthdays.

My birthday is in January!

Photo taken Christmas Day
 2013!

There are two large pockets
on each page to place birthday
 cards, reminders, etc.
 for that month.

Will show closer photo's of pockets
 in February. These photo's were
taken in a hurry today - where
 does time go!!

I fashioned a store bought frame
with three hooks, and when
 January is over, February
 will take its place.

The frame hangs in my
 living room - love it!

Happy New Year again.

Love & Hugs

Sketch Reveal at SOUS!

Welcome to my Blog today
 dear scrappy friends.

This post has been scheduled,
as I am winging my way back
 from a fabulous week
 in Los Angeles.

The great sketch from our Leah,
revealed today at
was just made for these
 papers and my photo's.

This coming Sunday is
Remembrance Sunday,
and Tuesday 11th November
 is Armistice Day.

On Tuesday, the last poppy
will be added to the stunning
"Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red"
Tribute at the
 Tower of London.
Which marks the
 100th Anniversary
of the outbreak of
World War One.

On Tuesday there will be
 888, 246 poppies
in the moat around the Tower!

Representing the
 British and Commonwealth
 lives lost in the war.

One of these ceramic poppies marks
 the life of my
 Great Grandfather,
Charles A Tedford.

He died on 26th April, 1915,
 at Ypres in Belgium.
He has no known grave,
but is honoured on the
 Menin Gate in Belgium.

On 16th October,
my Great Grandfather
was honoured at the
 Tower of London,
on that evening's
Roll of Honour.

I was there.

I made a 24 hour trip to
London to witness one of the
 most moving tributes
 I have ever seen.

The poppies are a spectacular,
 humbling sight.
I am so glad I was able to see it.

The tribute will be dismantled
 after Armistice Day, and
the poppies have all been sold,
 with proceeds going to
 appropriate charities.

I have bought one of the
 poppies, to honour my
 Great Grandfather.

To own a piece of this
 fabulous tribute will be
 an honour for me!

I have rotated the sketch
 clockwise, to accommodate
 the stunning poppies
 already on the paper.

The papers are from
 Kaiser
 "Remember Me"
 Collection.

With Collectables from the
 same collection.

And, a wee bit of black lace
 from my stash.

The papers and photo's are
all that are needed here.

Here are a couple more photo's
 from my 24 hr trip!

In honour of Charles A Tedford
1886 - 1915

Now, head on over to
 and see what my
 SOUS Sisters
have done with the sketch!

Then, we want to see
your interpretations.

So, please join in at SOUS!

See you there...
