Tiny Dancer

The challenge over at SOUS this week is for a double page layout...
Now that's a challenge!!!
This is my take....

The sketch, by Pagemaps.....

This layout also qualifies for the challenge over at
Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenges
Challenge # 9 is 'Flowers & Wings'
****
Also the challenge over at
One Stitch At A Time
Challenge # 11 is 'Children'
****

Aren't these Prima flowers HUUUUGE....
They were a freebie from Anna's Craft Cupboard when I purchased a
LOT of Prima products last year....
I thought at that time - What can I use them for, they are just soooo big....

Then along comes this layout....
being a double page you certainly have much more room to play and with the big flowers on DG Rebekah's costume - well they had to be used.....

The papers are Basic Grey 'Euphoria' , as if you didn't recognise them, good old reliable Basic Grey, love their papers.....

The bling is Zva Creative and Basic Grey, the Journal sheets are Making Memories, and the Butterfly stamp is Prima.....

I have used the Cricut cartridge Storybook for the title and Hobo Std font for the journaling....

The photo's are of course oldest DGD Rebekah
at her first Dance Display last year - she was soooo adorable
in her wee costumes, but when she got on stage, she froze.
She didn't look too concerned when she was up there though,
she just didn't do anything. Then about half way through the number,
she suddenly did a spectacular twirl and continued on
to dance - it was magical, and it's all on video.
The audience did applaud her when she finally moved -
I also think it was because she was the smallest on stage
- toooooo cute.....

Thanks for dropping in.....

I'm going to have to put comment moderation on girls - I'm sorry, but I'm getting sex spam through on my comments - I have had to delete two comments from the previous post - I will leave it on for a wee while and hopefully they will go away!!!! How do they get in, we're scrapbookers for goodness sake!!!!

Once Upon a Dream

The second challenge over at SIWAS "Scrap It With A Song" www.scrapitwithasong.blogspot.com
is the theme song from
Disney's Sleeping Beauty "Once Upon A Dream".....

I took this adorable photo of DGD Rebekah,
changed it to black and white
and then played with it in Paint Shop Pro.....

Playing with the 3D effects, I found this bubble,
and then thought, bring in Tinkerbell from a Google search
(yes, Tink is in the photo!!!!) and voila,
don't ask me how I did it, but it worked.....

And, as if that is not enough, I actually USED Prima papers
- yes, I cut my Prima papers, these are from the 'Indeed' Collection.....

Prima vine, flowers and pearls - gorgeous.....

I cut the word Dream on Cricut with the Happily Ever After cartridge.....

Once Upon a - are American Thickers and the tag is K & Co....

And now for just a few of the many photo's I took at Disneyland Hong Kong.....

One of my all time favourite characters - The Cheshire Cat.....

The Toy Soldiers from Toy Story were amazing - check their feet.....

We had a wonderful day at Disneyland, even though it rained most of the day, however, every cloud has a silver lining - there were no queues.......

We even walked onto Space Mountain, one of the most popular rides at Disney
NO QUEUE!!!!

Hugs and thanks for dropping by

I'm having so much fun with these challenge blogs.....

I have used the sketch from Creative Scrappers

This layout also qualifies for the challenge over at
Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays www.ssdschallenge.blogspot.com
which is to do a girlie project.....

I have used the Lime Tart A La Tarte Kit

Also in the A La Tarte kit was this little Creative Imaginations box, which I covered with the Lemonade papers from the kit.....

Some lace around the box, and a few little attachments to complete.....

Including my favourite roses.....

I made Top 5 at SIWAS with the previous post - a big house.... - nice surprise.....
The next challenge is up at Scrap It With A Song, www.scrapitwithasong.blogspot.com the theme song from
Disney's Sleeping Beauty, "Once Upon A Dream" which will tie in great with my Disneyland Hong Kong photo's, so I'm off to play with that.....

Two Challenges & Hong Kong

This layout qualifies for two challenges.....

The sketch over at SOUS www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com and Scrap It With A Song at www.scrapitwithasong.blogspot.com

The song at SIWAS is Elton John's "Your Song" - I chose the line 'a big house where we both can live'

I have used the Lime Tart Half Tart Kit from August '09 www.limetart.com and photo's of our house just after we finished building and moved in, last May.....

The papers are Pink Paislee 'Captivating', the alphas are Paper Trunk, the transparency by Teresa Collins, butterflies are Collections Elements and the large red floral is by Basic Grey.....

Everything on the page was in the kit including the metal embellishment and the ribbon....

ADDIT: This layout won Top 5 in Challenge # 1 at Scrap it with a Song.....

Now for a couple of photo's from our recent Hong Kong trip.....

I was amazed at how closely packed everything was - everybody lives vertically!!!!

This was the foyer of our beautiful hotel - The Harbour Grand Hotel.....

The above building was once HMS Tamar - hubby was here in 1981 when he was in the Royal Navy - of course it was returned to the Chinese in 1997 and is now Chinese Government buildings - one of the reasons hubby wanted to return - Nostalgia......

I loved the old with the new - a temple nestled UNDER all these skyscrapers.....

Sadly our whole week was marred by cloud cover, and all the buildings being SOOOOO tall, they were usually buried in the clouds.....

This is the world's largest floating restaurant 'Jumbo' - three floors of the finest dining. We travelled there by junk, great experience.

We didn't have time to go for dinner, but we had a fine lunch there of the most amazing dimsums yummy yummy.....

Another temple on the road, Hong Kong is full of these beautiful buildings.....
Next time I will post some of my favourite photo's "Disneyland Hong Kong" .....
So, that's me for now - til next time.....
