Last Post from Australia

It's finally here....

We move out of our beautiful house today and subsequently lose the internet......

So, this will be my last post until we are back in Scotland.

As a special momento of our time in Australia, I made this reverse canvas of eight wee houses as a reminder of our eight addresses (yes, 8 in 12 years!!!) in Perth, Western Australia.....

The wee houses are from Collections Elements, a Perth based company, and I have decorated them with products from -

Prima, Dusty Attic, Flower Soft, Webster's, Twiddleybitz, German Scraps.....

I have used Cuttlebug embossing folders for a couple of the roofs, and corrugated cardboard for a couple, also hessian, German Scraps and a Martha Stewart punch.....

I particularly love the verse, which I sourced from the Net -

Never be sad for what is over. Be glad it once was yours.

Perfect.....

I used Jo Sonja's Texture Paste to cover the canvas and then painted it green...

I then used the Prima brick mask on the frame.....

No more scrapping for me for a while.....

Now, to the move to Scotland.....

The original family room - remember....

Scrappy stuff ready to go - remember....

All packed....

And on its way to Scotland.....

Drinks with a few special friends....

And, I'll talk to you from Scotland.....

Hugs

Imaginisce Challenge

Have had a wee bit of time to play along with the latest sketch over at the

Imaginisce Blog....

My beautiful children at my wedding in 2007....

The sketch.....

There were four criteria for the challenge....
1 Use the sketch
2 to use 75% Imaginisce products
3 to use 3 patterned papers
4 to use 3 types of embellishment.....

Imaginisce papers are - To Love & Cherish Collection - Sophia and Diana
Black Tie Optional Collection - Black & White Bash

Bazzill cardstock
Spellbinders nestabilities - Labels Four and Petite Scalloped Circles
Brilliance Ink - Graphite Black

My 3 types of embellishment are....
Zva Creative Butterfly Flourish
Basix flowers
Kaiser bling

I certainly was the proudest of mothers that day.....

Regarding our move back to Scotland - we have managed to secure a property in our home town, with the help of daughter.

She went to view it last night for us and knew right away that her Mum would love it - plenty of room for my scrappy room and stuff and the most fantastic bedroom for my three Granddaughters when they stay over at Granny's.....

Three and a half weeks to go.....

And I sold my car this morning too. We sold Hubby's car two weeks ago....

Things are moving on apace now....

Til later....

Hugs

Getting ready to ship.......

Now the fun has begun.....

Finalizing our lives here in Australia....

Our schedule is to ship our belongings on 20th Feb and leave Australia on 5th March....

This was our family/games room last week.....

This is it now!!!!!.......

All my scrappy goodies ready for their long journey to Scotland.....

So, I still have my supplies for a couple of weeks - then gone.....

Meanwhile, I thought I would show you this layout I made for part of the Stuck On U Sketches DT, from which I withdrew in October 2011 when things got pretty hectic with selling the house etc.....

This sketch was #68 dated November 11th 2011. I had nearly finished the layout, but not quite....

It is finished now....LOL

Papers are Sassafrass Lass "Indie Girl".....

The wee birds are a Whiff of Joy stamp "Love Birds" which I have coloured (rather badly) with Distress Inks - Faded Jeans, Weathered Wood, Frayed Burlap, Pumice Stone, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters and Dried Marigold (did I really use that many colours?)

Me thinks Timmy's new release of Distress Ink Markers (in 37 colours) will improve things immensely, can't wait to get my hands on them....

The beautiful stitched brads are from Basic Grey....

Kaiser rhinestones....
Velour ribbon from stash....
Flowers from Prima....

Bazzill cardstock....
We R Memory Keepers tag in the hessian pocket....

No title as yet, until I decide which photo's to use....

Why not head over to Stuck On U Sketches today - they have just released their newest sketch, and you get two weeks to play.....

I sure do miss being on the Design Team.....

In other news....

This recent layout of beautiful daughter was for sketch challenge #63 over at Sketchabilities a couple of weeks ago....

It was picked up as one of the Featured Five.....

Was I chuffed or wot......

Thanks to the girls over at Sketchabilities for the honour....

Hugs for now
